Progressing from being an FD to a CFO

In today's episode Adrian Lawrence talks about the career progression from Finance Director (FD) to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and how often the best transition route is achieved by building up a network of contacts in the Private Equity or Venture Capital spaces.

We recommend using LinkedIn to build up contacts, cultivating a small number maybe 12 or so but having a long list of 1,000 or more, this volume of contacts is then enough to bring in a regular stream of opportunities which can then lead to roles and work.
