In todays episode Adrian Lawrence talks about how FD Capital Recruitment a leading FD and CFO recruitment boutique aimed at founders in London and the South East of the UK, has joined the living wage foundation.

The living wage foundations aims align with those of the Directors of FD Capital, being the elimination on in work poverty, and the team feels this is best achieved by setting the national minimum wage at 66% of median earnings nationally and locally in London.  This is the current UK Government policy, albeit that it is being phased in to allow employers the time to adjust their business models and to pass the costs along to their customers in turn.

You can read more about this story on our blog post https://www.fdcapital.co.uk

We also strongly support the elimination of pensioner poverty through auto-enrolment pension contributions.  These are currently set far too low to give a suitable replacement income of around 66% of earnings as pension age is approached, contribution levels of around 14-16% are needed on all income, compared to the existing 8% contributions on a band of earnings.   We are lobbying Government to phase in increases so target levels are achieved, then in the very long term pensioner poverty will also be a thing of the past.

If you like our ethos and are interesting to work with a recruitment boutique with a social conscience then reach out to our team today through our website which can be found at https://www.fdcapital.co.uk
