Reducing Rents to Increase UK Property Returns!

Reducing Rents to Increase UK Property Returns!

#94

This is one of my favourite episodes!

Saam Lowni has bucket loads of experience in property as an estate agent, investor, landlord, developer, YouTuber, lender and broker.

Saam has a long history in property, dating back to his childhood in Durham during the 1980s, where his parents would buy houses in coal mining villages for 2-3K, refurbish them, and sell them for 4-5K.

He soon convinced his family to add to their portfolio in the North-East of the country with properties across the North-East of London.

After a spell in Hong Kong, he returned to the UK, refinanced the family portfolio to raise cash to buy student HMOs in Kent and Coventry.

 Tune in to find out:

·      Why Saam prefers professionals to students

·      Why he reduces rents to increase his overall returns

·      Why he aims to be Best in Class

·      How to find opportunities in Article 4 Areas

·      What he thinks about investing in the North-East

We also tap into Saam’s experience in property finance to get a beginner’s guide to terms such as Capital Stack / Mezzanine Finance / Unitranche Financing / Stretch Lender / Senior Debt / Juniour Debt / Intercreditor Agreements and more!
