Stacy Abrams is no Trump

in general, I love Post Reports… but Amy Gardner’s false comparison of Stacy Abrams saying her race against Kemp was “rigged” with Trump’s big lie is mixing apples and oranges. In Kemp’s capacity as Secretary of State of Georgia, he implemented election rules which benefited his candidacy (and that of other Republicans) such as purging the voter rolls and other measures that made it more difficult for African Americans in particular to vote. His efforts were widely and substantively documented. That’s a whole lot different than Trump’s baseless allegations of suitcases full of fraudulent votes, etc etc. This type of false equivalency falls short of the Post’s usual high standards.
