Broken Record Season 3 ... Is Coming!

Rick was on holiday in Italy. I was in Detroit with these guys. And out of this moment comes Broken Record Season three, starting with Jack White and the Rack and tours in the Motor City. Rick and I, along with my good friend Bruce Headlam create a Broken Record as an excuse to talk shop with our favorite musicians and beg them to play for us, and for some reason they always say yes. This season, we're adding a fourth Musketeer. Our producer Justin Richmond is going to be the new voice of the show, Take it Away, Justin. What we try to do for this season a Broken Record is bring you a mix of popular young artists, some who are more established, and also people behind the music like Kenny Beats, one of the most in demand young producers in hip hop and creative. The Broken Record theme song Kenny breaks down what he's learned about the regional sounds of modern rap from Oakland to Memphis and how it's influenced him as a producer. This is what it's inspiring me. It's not getting in the room with the biggest genius ever of all time and then showing me how to make a record to reach a billion people. It's what's happening in this small, small corner of the country that makes those people erupt in a different way than the fans of the biggest art ever. Rick Rubin also spends three days deep in the Italian countryside, but tirely the creator. The first night, I was like, oh, oh, what the I give it to you? Rick is crazy. We're in the woods. We're in the wood, We're in the middle of nowhere.
