Fitch watches a crossbow tutorial, Emily repeatedly mishandles weapons, and the household destroys itself while trying to preserve its privilege. That interpretation connects the movie’s survival horror, class satire and absurd violence, while Daniel’s reluctant aid gives Adam Brody’s character a tragic moral arc.
Henrique and David celebrate the finale’s choice to make the curse real, arguing that the family’s explosive punishment turns a potentially ordinary supernatural reveal into a shocking, funny and deeply satisfying payoff.
