Henrique Couto and David Denoyer unpack Malibu High (1979), Irvin Berwick’s Crown International exploitation film starring Jill Lansing as Kim Bentley, with Tammy Taylor and Garth Pillsbury. The hosts revel in Malibu High’s “whack-a-doo” structure, misleading marketing, unconvincing deaths and constant tonal shifts. They ask why graduation remains Kim’s obsession even after crime transforms her life, and they trace the movie’s evolution from teen drama to sex-work narrative, hit-woman thriller and sunlit neo-noir.
