Prosecutor Stirler Hendrix'spurgh explained if these matters had now been formally handled, they would have been left hanging afterward. Because of the resources required, they likely would not have been processed at all.

What are we doing? After a boat trip in late June, she testified, Hoiby tried to pressure her to take cocaine, which she refused. The next morning, he spit in my face and slapped me. He pulled down the chandelier and stepped on it with my phone and snapped my headphones. At one point, he took a knife from the kitchen. He said he was going to kill the man he thought I had cheated with the knife was thrown into a wall. She described another choke hold against a wall and being dragged by the hair across the floor. The argument continued outside as Hoiby shouted accusations to people passing on the street. Looking back, she told the court it seemed like what he wanted was for me to confess, like he wanted to beat a confession out of me. An audio recording from after the incident was played. Hoibe can allegedly be heard saying, you know you are hated in this city.

I still cared about him and I did not want to put him in a bad situation. She added, I think the pressure Marius has experienced has been inhumane. More ground and controversy in just a moment. Thursday, Hoiby took the stand to respond. He open by telling the court the explanation I heard yesterday, I don't recognize it. I felt that was a lot exaggerated and some of it simply wasn't true. He acknowledged spitting in her face during an argument in summer of twenty twenty four, he admitted breaking her laptop during a fight about her planning to visit a former partner. I took the laptop and snapped it in two. Asked what state of mind he was in. I was angry and sad.

It should never have happened, but he denied other allegations, saying about the Berlin video, she saw that I was filming and didn't stop me, but asked me to delete it. To this day, I don't understand where that video came from, because we sat together and deleted it. About allegedly striking her with an open hand, he said he doesn't clearly remember that. It sounds like it happened. It was incredibly stupid. It should never have happened. No one deserves that. He described her calm demeanor during conflicts as the scariest thing you can encounter. She becomes completely calm and motionless. He said. She would sometimes say things like she had never loved him or planned to sleep with other people, delivering those statements calmly. During arguments, the court heard about the polygraph test Hoiby voluntarily took after infidelity accusations. The woman arranged and paid for it about eight thousand krona. When the judge reached the August fourth incident, Hoibey appeared visibly emotional.

The story was deleted after three or four minutes, and then another one was posted without the guy. And then I wondered what was that During the August fourth confrontation, he admitted, I probably shouted something like you unfaithful, effing or it is a terrible thing to call someone when I think back on and that is not a word I want to be associated with. Then came the key admission.

She explained that I put all my weight on her, but I do not believe that I did. When asked whether the grip could have prevented her from breathing, I do not know if she could breathe or not, but I believe her when she says she could not. He described throwing objects, smashing items, and a knife that ended up in the wall. He sent a threatening Instagram message to the man he believed she was with. I wrote that he was an effing dead man. Asked whether he understood it could be perceived as a threat. Yes, as a threat, sure, but I do not think he believed he was actually going to be killed. Hoyby described being heavily intoxicated, drinking large quantities and taking cocaine. Listening to recordings of himself shouting on the street. I sound completely rabid.

Shortly afterward, a police officer call. He said, Hi, Marius, how are you today. I answered that I was not doing very well. I called at least one hundred and seventy two times, probably more, and sent a lot of messages. He admitted breaking the restraining order even after the trial began. Now there would be another admission of a breach through a friend. I sent her a letter on Valentine's Day. That letter was delivered February fourteenth. During the ongoing trial, he regretted many actions it was incredibly stupid. It should never have happened. No one deserves that. The relationship was marked by lies, infidelity, drugs, and insecurity. At several points he struggled to remember exact sequences, attributing memory gaps to heavy alcohol and drug use. By Friday's end, the most dramatic moment remained Hoyby's own admission from the witness stand. I remember that I slapped her, and I remember that I took her by the throat.
