The Pyreheart Accord, Part I: Embers of Preparation

With the weight of a world on the brink of war, the Scalebound agents take one last breath before the firestorm.
Episode One follows the team through the markets of Cindermarch, where ash-forged merchants and relic-peddlers whisper of the coming summit between the Dominion of Fahlreach and the Hollow Host. Between bartering for enchanted steel, memory-ink, and phoenix-proof cloaks, each agent arms themselves for what lies ahead—politics wrapped in prophecy and treachery bound in gold.

As the sun bleeds across the horizon, their caravan sets out toward Mount Varron, the volcanic citadel known as Pyreheart Stronghold. The roads twist through glassed ravines and smoking vents where the land itself still remembers the Oracle’s fire. Strange travelers shadow their path, and distant tremors warn that the mountain is waking.

It’s the quiet before the eruption—the moment where steel is tested, faith is questioned, and the first sparks of the Accord begin to catch.

Last session, the agents of the Syndicate returned to the House of Fun and chose the Claw.

0:52 A circular arena sank beneath them, sand raked like a fingerprint, and two Emperor Scorpions erupted as the Barker announced a late arriving volunteer, Zebulon. The fight landed fast and heavy. Svara met Shi Tin with a frost laced warhammer, shaking a monster's stance. Osaisa carved radiant trails into its plates until the 2nd scorpion seized and dragged her down. Zebulon strode in with a grin and a spectral hound and Castella's crackling bolts punched the crowd's cheers into silence. Then Nairos lifted his hands and called the sun a conflagration scorched scorpion and friend alike. He stepped through the heat and knit his comrades back together. Even as Ogre Man broke the grapple with surging nature and raised Osaiser clear.

1:41 Baxter sealed the bout with a triumphant bite that sent the last behemoth sprawling. Intermission promised virtue, but the room set a snare. A placard urged patience. Svara pulled the gleaming glass lever anyway, and poison flowed like perfume. The house inhaled their breath. The team staggered. Osais's healing steadied them long enough for the door to unlock on its own timetable. Patience, not force, had solved it beyond a swamp lit haul of floating logs and viscous acid uncoiled as something gargantuan skimmed beneath the surface. Osaitha turned the company to cloud and they drifted past snapping jaws, the plaque behind them conceding cleverness with a satisfied click.

2:27 The final chamber hung quiet as a Stage 3 glowing pedestals labeled Truth, Patience, and Nerve beneath a glass scale. The House demanded Ante's. Svara vowed never to retreat except to save a comrade. Zebulon vowed to drink nothing but water. Nyrus bound himself to stand, unflinching. Zebulon faced patience, a hanging lever that begged for touch, whispers in a loved one's voice sweet, choking pollen. He wavered once, suffered venom, then held. Svara walked nerves tightrope over the mirror. More fell hard, dragged herself free, and crossed in a low, relentless push.

3:09 Neros took truth and confessed a secret that excited him more than it shamed him. The house judged without mercy. Glass blossomed, his blood turned to confetti, his soul rang like cut crystal and vanished into a reflection Shard. With no lesser remedy sufficient, Ogeman seized their priceless scroll of True Resurrection and tore Nairos back from the mirror's edge. Silk draped prizes, legendary works of mask, Lantern, and blade shone in the quiet as the vows took hold and the path forward opened with one miracle spent, a compromised leave order still nagging the edges of their thoughts, and the House of Fun measuring every step, the agents pressed on toward whatever twist waited in the next room. Welcome to the Quest.

We have another great episode of Crit Happens and the the Scale Bound syndicate for you today we have our agents with us.

6:21 Say hello, agents. Hello, hello. We have Castea, Neros, Ogamen, Savara and Zebulon joining us again for another adventure here in Varelio. So we are going to start tonight's session right away, actually with a little bit of a shopping spree. We've got some players that have requested different shopping things. We're going to we're going to say we're going to do a little bit of shopping here, folks. So what exactly are we looking for here as of right now? Are we looking for magic items? Are we looking for books or what? I'm kind of looking for. I'm looking for magic. You're looking for magic, huh? Always me. I'm looking for the boots of Alvin kind. Well, let's see what we can find here for you. So what we would basically do this point in in for Elios or excuse me, in the Scare Bomb syndicate, they have their own kind of marketplace force agents specifically, generally based on what rank you are in the scale bond syndicates, you are given basically a a discount and an agent's fee or an agent's price that can assist you with items, you know, purchasing those items a little bit of a less cost.

7:44 So we're going to hit up the magic shop here in the market that's known as the Starbound Emporium. They specialize in in spells, enchantments, even curse removals, things like that. So now as far as the specifically you're looking for the boots, is that correct? Yeah. OK. Boots of elven kind. Boots of elven kind. OK. So in the in the shop is owned by a half elf known as Iramel Starweaver.

8:27 She's kind of standing at the front. The front desk sees you all walk. I assume you all walk in together, correct? Sure, I love window shopping. Yeah. Yeah, so you all walk in and he he's kind of timid. You know, it's not necessarily the best thing when six people off to the nines with magic items and swords and weapons walking to the chefs. He's like, hi, hi, hi. Welcome. Welcome to the the Starbound Emporium. How can I help you? Hello. I'm looking for if you've got any boots of Elvin kind, let me let me take a look at in my in my inventory and see if I can see if I can find that for you.

9:22 Is there any other suggestions or any other requests that I might see if I could find? Oven, chain or chain mail or chain shirt? OK, I'm also on the lookout for some gloves of thievery. I've got a couple of things I'm looking for, assuming they come from a good source and we can quantify their effectiveness. I'm I suppose I'm looking for a broom of flying and a cloak of displacement if you can have if you find one. I'm actually looking for elephant chainmail, sorry. You got any animals?

10:15 OK, so everybody gave me their requests at once. So I had the the boots of Alvin kind the the chain. You're just looking for magic chain mail, correct? Yeah, the Alvin chain mail. Yes, I. Met so Alvin chain mail, OK, and then who is next? Zebulon said. I'm looking for some gloves of thievery and if the boots of Alvin kind aren't super expensive and you have two pairs, I'd be interested in those too. But as far as got dibs if you only got 1. OK. And then, Jesse, you said something probably extremely broken, right? Yeah, I'm a flying and cloak a displacement. OK.

11:03 Extremely broken. Or maybe an ion stone? An ion stone? A mastery. OK, so the shopkeep will just kind of go in the back for just a moment. So I mean feel free to talk about yourselves while they are looking for these items, see if they have any in stock. So what if he's just super expensive guys? What are we going to do? I. Think this guy is a syndicate? Yeah, I think we're running a discount. I mean, I know it. Yeah, I got, I got some things, some tricks up my sleeves. Let me before.

11:45 Yes, Sir, I know that. How far in the back is the back? I'm going to say out of any sort of sight that you have. Oh. Fun. Because I know you and you've now been playing this character for six episodes and I don't feel comfortable whenever you ask me a question that has to do with anything. That's fair. And I've I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons with you for a number of years. It's never a good thing when you ask a question. What kind of walls and in the cases? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

12:25 Somehow. I don't believe. That empty. Do you want me to roll deception? I would like to cast the invisibility. There are just, you know, it's a standard match stuff. So you've got your, your scrolls, your, you know, kind of magical quarter Staffs and things along those lines. Any equipment, Cloaks, rings, necklaces, stones. Yeah, I mean, the shelves are are kind of filled with, you know, think of it as like an American eagle of magical items, of robes different, you know, different shoes and boots and you know, all of that.

13:06 And so the, so the shop keep comes back from the back room and he and he says, and he says, you know, I believe I have all of it that you're looking for. So we'll start with the, the whoever had the boots. And he just kind of looks around. He's he's a very timid old man. Hello. So yes, I, I do have some boots of Elvin kind. They, they would be the 500 gold for the, for the boots themselves. You know, they're, they're stitched with whisper 6 whisper silk and harvest from fake cocoons and they emit no sound when you wear them. Awesome, I'll take them.

13:53 OK, Also, I forgot to ask earlier about plus one Shields. Oh, absolutely. I mean, you could take he kind of gestures to the, the shield section of the, you know, the, the, the armament section where it has the, the different weapons, things like that. He's like, please take your take your pick. And that will be an additional, we'll say 75 gold. Sweet, thank you. Next, I, I believe someone asked for the, the Alvin chainmail. Is that correct? Yes, that would be me. And how tall are you again? Tall are you?

14:38 You're you're, you're a big boy, aren't you? I'm a, I'm a very big boy. I'm a big, big boy, so. He's going to kind of look up you and go, oh, hello. Oh boy, you're big. So the this has been forged by the in the Verdant rifts. Each link of this Elvin chainmail is reflects A faint echo of the forest canopy it was born under. And it's yours. It's a it's a little bit pricey because it was made in in the Verdant Rift and and under such care, it would be 2200 gold for you. What? You take 18. Give me a persuasion check.

15:26 Let's see here 21 Jesus. Christ. That's a Nat 20. That's a Nat 20. OK, here we go. He'll kind of go, you know, you seem like a nice fellow and he, he kind of like looks you up and down, like if you could just, you could squash him like a bug. And he goes, you know what? 1800 gold. It's it's, it's yours for 1800. I'll take it. OK. And and I also believe someone said the thievery gloves, is that correct? Yes, that's what I was looking. For ah, yes, yes, these are these are quite good gloves. These are silver threaded.

16:13 They have an inscription on the inside. I I personally can't read it, but you know, if it may be something that you could read, but I it's the the gloves of thievery. Yeah, absolutely. They they are yours for 700. Gold like that? OK. And then? Actually, is there any chance he would do 1000 gold for both the Gloves of Thievery and Boots of Alvin kind? Hmm, give me a Perception check. No, I'm sorry. Persuasion check. Persuasion. All right, I'm at a + 0 unfortunately. I knew what I meant in my head. That was a 2 so I'm thinking that. He goes, you know, 2 items for 1000 for 1000 gold pieces. I, I, I'm, I'm sorry, I just can't do I, I'll, I'll let, I'll let both of them go for, for, for 1200. I don't have that much.

17:14 So just the gloves of thievery then? Just the gloves. OK, I. Don't know, I really think you should give it to him for the for the 1000. It'd be the the right thing to do. God. Damn it, give me a persuasion check. Oh, I'm intimidating. Oh oh God, OK, give me an intimidation check. Can I help intimidate? I am far more intimidating than I am. Precise, I'll let you give him the help action to give him advantage. Oh, wonderful. He. Said Shields are 75, right? Correct. Plus one shield. Plus one shield. Yeah, Yep, that's what I'm getting. How much are +2 Shields?

17:59 I would let those go for 7:50. Meanwhile, while all this is happening, Kazdai is just picking up knives and swords and just looking at him. I got a 28. Wow, he he, you, you say that to him and he just kind of shudders in, in, in feet. I'm, I'm slowly like, you know how you like, like tap your fingers like on a desk while you're impatiently waiting. I do that on my shield though. Oh God, he'll he'll kind of see you and hear you doing that and he'll go absolutely you can have them for I tell you what, I'll let you have the the boots for free.

18:48 And he just kind of shuffles them towards you and looking at Neros like please don't kill me, see what I'm doing. Thank you, good Sir. And then finally, I believe. And then you hear a, a low growl and he he just kind of from just he's like that they're, they're there. That's OK. And he says. And who wanted the dog? Kazdan's going to whip her head around and look at him and be like, that was me. I I wanted to. OK, Yeah, absolutely. I I mean you can he'll just kind of bring bring him around and he's a a young hellhound. His eyes are ember red, his near his almost like near his tail. It kind of flickers with the shimmer of heat and he's like now this this hell, how this is not trained. So I I caution you that if if you go to use him right away for whatever you may be doing, it kind of looks at all you, especially Nero.

19:53 He looks at Nero's Like, whatever you may be doing with all this items, I call, I caution you that. He should be trained before he's taken out into the into the unknown because he right now he's just was just found kind of on the side of the road. But what you do with it is yours. But he is kind of pricey. I would let him go for 4000 gold. 4000. I should do something just because I can't.

20:36 You. I mean, if you could certainly try. No, I nothing to him but just to mess with her. How about 2000? 2000 no, no, I, I, I I can't let it go for 2000. That's I'd be making no money. 2500. I mean, you did say you found him on the side of the road. So you're, you're making money. Let's be serious here. Cassie, give me a persuasion check. Oh, I'm so excited. OK, hold on. I don't want to fuck this up because I'm really excited.

21:20 Guidance. That's a dirty 20. Is a dirty 20. Yeah, he see hears argument say, you know, you did say you found on the side of the road, you know, you're making profit one way, one way or another. And as he says that the shop keep kind of does that like kind of sideways head nod was like, yeah, you know what I mean. It's got the point. Yeah. You know what 2500 gold He's he's all yours. There's going to walk up to him and stick her hand out.

22:04 Give me an animal handling check. That's a that's a natural 20. I'm on a roll tonight apparently. Oh my God, no, Scott, you are going to bypass the training period. Yeah, with a natural 20, he immediately is loyal to you. Immediately. There's an immediate connection between you and this God damn hell hound. Aim it, Renesme. Yeah, and say you wouldn't get on it. I immediately she she the hell hold one of my rations. Give me an animal handle and check with I'm going. To laugh at this dog, bite your arm off with disadvantage. He immediately just imprinted on Castea well. I can, I'm just giving it to him as a nice gesture, like he's on the side of the road.

23:02 Oh, OK, then yeah, you can certainly do that. Yeah, OK. Kind of. And then the shopkeep is going to look because he knows he's the only one left. He's going to kind of do a side eye over to Neros and go, OK, and the for the for the most expensive items, I believe that was for your your friend over here. And he's kind of looking at anyone except Nero's. He is very intimidated by him. This broom of flying I have and this cloak of displacement. Yeah. I mean for both of them they would be totaled at 6000 gold. 6000 gold.

23:45 It's. Only an uncommon item. They're they're plentiful, why so much? And the cloaks? Only rare I've seen several. He he, he wants nothing kind of to do with Neros. He's like these have been hand, hand handcrafted and hand woven. These, these have lots of lots of time and energy placed into them. You know, they, they're, they're worse than the standard they're, they're, they're worth more than the standard item. Every magic item is handcrafted.

24:27 I mean. Better than others? He's like, umm. Give me an insight check to. There's no other way to say that, if you would know that. How about an Arcana check? Although either an insight or an arcana. OK, well then it's going to be 27. I've got a + 8 to insight.

25:09 I tried to make you have me only have a + 3 but no, you said I could use either. I don't think it would have mattered because you were the 28, you said. Yeah, he wrote a 20. No, I wrote the 1927 is what I got. Oh, OK, yeah, I mean, he's already scared of you. So I mean he'll he'll you know when you say that he'll go. OK, how about 4500 gold for the both? Well, 4500, it seems to be a fair price, but it's not a good price.

26:04 What? What? What are you suggesting? A good price. That that is a good price. No, it's a fair price. But it's it's how much? Do you? How much do you own them for? I, I, I don't really think, believe that that information would be relevant or, you know, and now he's getting a little, I guess, annoyed. Well, we should have an honest conversation here, should we not? Why I, I'm being fully honest, I, I, but I, I, again, I don't believe that information that you're requesting has anything to do with this, with this price. I mean, it's already a fair price. It's a, it's a good, you know, it's a, it's a, it's a price. I'm going to do some meta magic and detect thoughts. He does that require a save at all? Oh, probably for the duration you can read the thoughts of certain creatures when you cast a spell and as your action on each turn until the spell ends.

27:24 Focus your mind. Anything I see within 30 feet creature you choose has an intelligence for three or lower. It doesn't speak any languages. It's not doesn't happen. I learned the surface thoughts of the creature, what is most on its mind in that moment. As an action, I can either shift my attention to another creature or attempt to probe deeper. If I probe deeper, it must make a wisdom save, and if it fails I gain insight into its reasoning. So it's surface thoughts at this point would probably be what it owns it for. Well, no, actually his surface, his surface thoughts would probably be him screaming at the top of his lungs because he's scared shitless of you. So I would say his, his surface, you know, thoughts would be oh God, I can't I, I I I I I I, I hello. The happened to me.

28:24 He would be, he would say, I, I I just can't wait until he leaves. I just, I just want to go back and enjoy my how. About this Sir, for 3500, I'll get out of your hair. That's not even the price of of of one of those items. You want me to leave? Can I, you know my druid message K trip on the on the shopkeeper and be like, if you just don't give it to him, he's not leaving? Give me a give me a persuasion check. Persuasion.

29:13 I'm talking, sorry, I'm talking to Nero's. Oh. OK, give me one second here. Features and traits BC's mine Link. I'm going to, as I'm, as I'm kind of persuading him, just telepathically say I promise I won't leave and then I'll roll it. Give me with the advantage then.

29:55 It's not terrible. Persuasion would be a 22. He goes, I, I understand that you, you, you won't leave, but I, I tell you what, I'll give it to you for 4000. That's that's perfect. Thank you all so much. Please be be. Very. I assume you're closed now. Yes, I have to go change my drawers for a very unrelated reason. I, I, I bid you all farewell and he kind of disappears into the back. God damn it, every single every single NPC that I run into shits their pants because of neros.

30:44 Look, I didn't offer the deck of anything this time. We could have made this so much worse. I really could have. Oh my. God, I was about to start playing with lightning in my heads. Kaz there right now, is down on her hands and knees in this hellhound space, just like I bring it with kisses. Who's a good boy? Who's? A good boy. Favorite. Thing, who's a spicy boy? OK, so after, is there anything else that anybody would like to do? I know we did potions and stuff prior to recording about those. The only other question is of the legendary items. We'll have to go through those out of game. OK, Yeah, but we can do those if you want to just write in your letter for those.

31:43 We can discuss those. So it does anybody need anything else before we move on with tonight's mission? I need to run to the bathroom. OK, I'll be right back. OK, let's take a quick break. OK, so real quick has Daya. Before we go any further, can you please roll me a Let's go with percentiles D100? Oh my God, hold on, remind me how to do this. You need the percentile die and the D10. What does the D town look like?

32:24 It's it. They look the same, except one of them has. Like 10/20/13 I got you. OK, so I got 87. All right, I need everybody to say hello to Asmodeus the Emberbound. Hi. Sweet baby boy, anyway. He is a level 10 a challenge 10 Hellhound. Wow. Yeah, I'm. Really. Happy about this role.

33:06 Yeah. Jesus. So he's. Stronger than all of us combined. Pretty much. Yeah, yeah. You know you have control, right? Yeah, I'm gonna have to nerf this a little bit. He could kill our entire group. Yeah. Could I'm going? To make a challenge you. Know what 5I cast? Banishment. My poor baby boy. So what is his name? What is? What is his name? Asmodeus. I just want to transform into the rabbit, be like Asmodeus, get them like on secret like on secret life of pets just.

33:57 Is it really? We're in the Shattered Peaks means we're in the forest. Fair. You should be looking for bunnies so you know what you're changing into and you're not terrified of it. I mean, so since I'm level 9, that divides it by three, right? Yeah. So I can, I can. OK, so. And then do any of you want to go to any other shops before we proceed I. Don't think any of us have any money to go to any other shops.

34:39 Oh, I do, I'll say. I have 20 gold left. I have nothing. I spent all of it on a dog. I have nothing, but he's the bestest boy. Named him Nothing. Nothing. That other? So what? Oh, go ahead. Thing I might look to see if it's possible is if I can get, I can Commission like custom armor because I would like like plus one armor. But then with enforce with Adam and Tyne, whatever it's called for that you have to custom order that, right?

35:25 That's something we can custom order for you go beans. So we can yeah, that's the only thing. Yeah, OK. Giant in a Elvens all. Right, so after you all, after you all finished your shopping, you'll head back to the Whisper Fang Tavern. Zebulon's Tavern, because at this point, you really haven't heard any news from the Syndicate. It's been a few days, and it's actually kind of odd that no one has really said anything to you over the last few days.

36:09 So you head back to the Whisper Fang Tavern, which is kind of just a stone's throw away because it's located in the, in the, the outpost of of Ember March. So I excuse me, in the, in the region of the Shatter peak. Excuse me. So you'll all head there and what will happen is you will hear excuse me. You will see as you're all sitting around the table, evening air is outside is smells of, you know, sulphur and snow. It is that time of the year in the Shatter Peaks where it does begin to snow a little bit. Inside the world is warm, shadowed and filmed with quiet music from a stringed instrument. No one can really quite see the regulars of the Tavern at this point.

36:56 The Tavern has been open for a few weeks. It's, it's the new Syndicate branded Tavern, if you will. So there's a lot of Syndicate agents other than yourselves. Syndicate smugglers, relic runners, rogue scholars. They all have their corners of the Tavern where they almost like a clique, if you will. All of a sudden a low hush kind of falls over the Tavern and you all kind of look around and you see our man Tiern, the curator of the Syndicate. He's in charge of all the memory and manipulation within the Syndicate. So it's it's very he's, he's one of the counts or Worm council members.

37:44 So he is a very, very highly respected member of the syndicate command. He kind of moves through the room like someone who knows where every blade is hidden. His cloak is the color of dried ink, his his gloves faintly dusted and ash. And he looks directly at your table and he, he, it's like he realizes that's what he's looking for, and he reaches your table. He doesn't. He doesn't sit right away. He studies almost each of you in in turn, the light of a blue fire dancing in his eyes. And then, softly, he says, I've missed the smell, forged iron, cheap liquor, and the kind of tension you could taste. And he lowers himself into the chair, producing from his coat a folded parchment sealed with wax, bearing the coiled serpent of the Syndicate.

38:49 You've been sent to witness. You're being sent to witness the death of an idea, and if we're lucky, to murder it before it can draw breath. And he lays the parchment flat on the table and breaks the seal. The flame of the tavern's hearth bends toward it as almost if it's eavesdropping. He goes the pyre height, the pyre heart accord, letting the words linger. A pact between the Dominican of Fall Reach and the Hidden Host Dominion, Fire and Host Memory. Bound in one engine of zealotry they intend to unite their forces under under a single creed of purification. A holy wall written in ash.

39:44 He slides a small packet towards all of It's just towards all of you. It's four. It's 6 vials of volcanic ash, swirling with faint red light. These will mask you from the Dominion scent wards. Rub them into your gear before you cross the action belt. His low. His voice lowers, his tone almost out of a teacher in a library. Not a commander. He says your mission is surgical. Infiltrate Pyre Heart stronghold atop Mount Veron. The accord must not be signed. Burn it. Steal it. Or even dam the signatories into the same flames that they worship. I do not care which.

40:28 And he taps the parchment. Secondary objective. Recover any Dominion intelligence regarding their New Relic deployment. Rumor speaks of a prototype, a vessel that can store divine fire. He looks to each one of you, the faintest glimmer of pride behind the gravity. You are not Syndicate agents. Not. You are Syndicate agents, not soldiers. Remember, we don't fight wars. We prevent them from happening on terms we didn't choose. And he sits back in his chair, and for a moment the Tavern sigils flicker. He says you've got five days before the procession of the crown this begins.

41:17 After that, Pyre Heart seals itself in silence. The Hollow Host is already there, administering their eulogy test as we speak. You will need both Dominion clearance and a grief offering to pass. And almost a faint smirk crosses his face. Find something you've recently lost. It will make the Lye taste better. And he stands, clears his throat, and adjusts his coats. And he says the Shadow Peaks will try to freeze you, the Ashen Belt will try to burn you, and somewhere in between you'll find the truth of the Syndicate's work not in victory, but in what you're willing to lose to stop the wrong flame from spreading. And with that, he leaves the parchment, and the ash piles on the table.

42:10 The candlelight flickers once more, and the curator's shadow fades into the blue glow of the tavern's ward. The Whisper Fang hums as if the world, the self let out. It's a single exhale. Any questions? We recently lost me. Your whole personage. Hold on to that. I mean, I have so many questions for him, but he's gone already. Yeah, I didn't even get to ask him to sign the bar. Oh well. As he stands up and he's as he's passing the the end of the bar, he kind of pulls out his magical quill and writes the letters ATTC. Thank you, good Sir.

43:04 And he he kind of does one of those salutes on his way out. So again, what you know that in five days time the procession of the crown list will begin. And that is a peace treaty between the dominion of Fall Reach and the Hollow Host. And you know, you've been given the information that a such an agreement between these two would be world altering and endangering. These are two of the the most powerful factions in Varelios in their different regions. So for them to come to an agreement to use their forces collectively to take everything else over is almost certain if they agree to this, if they are able to agree to this treaty.

43:54 Well, it sure says a lot of things and I don't know if I believe it all. You know that anything that the curator says in person is the truth. You know that as a, as a now a veteran agent of the the Syndicate and we'll say on your, your downtime, you've done your research on the syndicate, all of you in your downtime, you've been on single missions, bounty missions for the Syndicate. You've basically opened your entire world and your heart to the syndicate. So you know the name Armand Tiern, otherwise known as the curator. You know that him, he is almost the voice above the voiceless, the voice above voices. I should say Kas Daya, I know is kind of itching her brain a bit because the curator has come up before for her out of kind of out of game.

44:51 Before we started Crit Happens, we ran through a a trial run of dungeons for the the three characters of Rodger, Kas, Daya and Levana. They all completed those under the guidance of Armand Tiern, the curator. He is a member of the Worm Council, which is the think of it like the Supreme Court. They are the end all be all of everything that happens in the scale bound syndicate. So Long story short, I know I rambled. You know, anything that came out of Armand Tiern's mouth is the absolute truth. Don't get me wrong, I think he thinks it's the truth. I I have so many questions because like, why would you send us to a quote, UN quote House of fun that you know isn't fun for a holiday?

46:06 So and then like, no, And then knowing that like even if it wasn't him in the in the Ledger, right, knowing that he didn't he like come earlier and be like, Hey, yo, that's not me, but that's not us. I give me an insight check. Oh, insight. Yeah. OK, that's a 24. OK, so, and, and I'm not sure if you caught it Gene out of game, there was there was a message that came out for the the basically the debrief of the mission that basically said that the syndicate apologizes.

46:52 They were given almost bad information on what the House of Fun was and it was not meant for those events were not meant to happen on on their on their watch, effectively so. And that's that's why you received the additional gold before session, because Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah. Liquid courage and therapy fund. Yeah, I remember now at at Zebulon's Bar and and you know, for a shrink. So I remember now. Yeah, with Zebulon. I will take you up on that beer, Sir. Absolutely. Is that beyond?

47:33 Selling drinks. This man just financed the beer engine we're all benefiting from right now. As I'm drinking a beer IRL. So cool. All right. So any questions before we you set off, basically you would set off in the morning. So the how far is the trip? You said it happens in five days. How far is it? Five days. It's about a three days travel. What? No, with a carriage. Basically you are going from the kind of middle N portion of the Shatter Peaks to Mount Veron, which is on the southeastern side corner of the Action belt. So you know that it's, yeah, it's, it's a, it's quite a track.

48:28 Oh, Roy T then. Anything else? I would like to know set off. Yeah, I want to note that I want to, I want to keep an eye for wildlife on the way there, Just saying. Yeah, and I was going to talk to you about this as well, Jean, We will we will use the understanding that you can go through the the the Monster Manual or the, you know, any of the CR levels for creatures that you can turn into. I will say that we can give you 6 forms in total. You should do.

49:17 You should do a total of 10 CRS worth of forms. That's not a bad idea. That's what that's what I was thinking first is if we instead of doing the amount of creatures you can pick in, you know, different levels, you can pick creatures that when you add up all of their CRS, we'll give you I that's a good idea. We'll use the number of 10. OK. OK. All right. I will have to go through that later then. Anything else? Nope. OK, No, nothing from Savara Zebulon. You're both good. No. I think so, yeah. Cassia, we're good to go. Yeah, I'm ready whenever you're ready. Cool.

50:00 All right, we will step away for a quick break. When we come back, we will start the track to Mount Veron for the Pyre Heart Accord. That will be next here on Crit Happens. I'm just asking.

50:58 I don't even know how to spell, so I'm just going to say yes. I don't want to attempt to. Google the Monster Manual. I don't. I don't want to attempt to Google it and fail it and my computer laugh at me, so welcome back. To know what an Anglia scores is. Some form of bird Welcome back to what happens here on Spotify, itunesplayers.fmdirectory.com, stitcher.com, TuneIn Radio, and iheartradio.com. Sorry, we were going through different CRS of monsters during the break and I don't know what it's let it be. Known that. Let it be known that Spencer first thought an Angliosaurus was a bird.

51:39 Now he thinks it's a cat, when in fact it's a dinosaur. An armored dinosaur. A bird. Yeah, no. No. No, this is like a giant armored, massive dinosaur. It's nothing like a bird. It's definitely a land creature. It's an Angliosaurus. OK. And you just said yes, Dean having an Angliosaurus. So good luck. Yeah. So how this will work and we'll do this again kind of stand in what we've done here in the past. These are going to be travel encounters. 3A day unless something other overrides that you'll be taking I assume Zebulot. At this point you've pretty much got your own horse and carriage. I do, yeah.

52:29 I've just got a horse, I think, not the carriage who had. The I can drive the carriage. If you got 1, you still have the carriage from your solo bounty. Oh gotcha. So yeah, you're at this point. It's been 3 weeks. It's yours, dude. I thought that was borrowed. Oh well. I think we I think, I think about it and I think that on the second solo bounty you and I did, he practically sold it to you because he rolled so well on it and he realized you were syndicate and so. Gotcha. Yeah, I did get some accessories. I was going to say that's maybe not the right word for. A horse sparkle.

53:16 OK, so who will be leading the cart and the calippity clop legs? I think Savaro's the one with. I've got proficiency in it. Yeah, I think you're the. Highest. Vehicle, I think Patty was normally the highest. She's not here tonight by the land Vehicles. By the way, happy birthday, Osisa, we love you. Happy birthday. Happy. Birthday. Cool. All right, so Samara, and then I will just need a nature or survival check just to make sure you know where the hell you're going for the day. OK, well, that's A7. Anybody know where we're going?

54:06 Yeah. Well, they're really listening. OK, we're. Supposed to be going to Mount Veyron. It's this way, I got 23 on my survival. Oh, OK. OK, so then we'll move into here. The travels. Let's see here there are five of you. Let me grab my D5 Ottoman. Can you please run me AD 100? Oh, sure, D100 46.

54:48 Oh, that's supposed to do that in the other. Nope, Nope, that's right. So 46. So as you are traveling, the morning kind of breaks into Shades of Grey and ember light. Thin ribbons of steam curl from fissures in the snow, where heat vents breathe like sleeping beasts. The Shatter peaks always hum with quiet tension, like a forge cooling too slowly, but today that hum rises into something near a heartbeat. The air smells faintly metallic, sulfurous beneath the crisp cold augment. Your boots crunched into the frost coated stone as the group is making their way along the knife edge trail. The sun never quite crests the Ridge and it's light scatters through thin clouds, painting the ice and tones of bronze, bronze and smoke.

55:37 Then the mountain groans, a deep, resonant sound, like a Titan exhaling under. The world rolls from beneath your feet. Snow shakes loose from distant ledges. For and for a heartbeat, the word. The world seems to still. And then the quake hits. The Ridge splits, scattering pebbles and ash, and you are scrambling for balance. I need everybody to make me a Dexterity saving throw. Thank you. I'm going to flying. Bro. 26. Oh my gosh, a 13?

56:17 I got a 10 OK. I got an 18. Is a 10A fail that might. Be worth your rolling. For a source 3 point. You can certainly try all. Right, I will reroll that at the cost of 1 sorcery point. Nearest What did you roll? I rolled. I'm flying on a broom. Yeah, OK. I got a one the second time. OK. You told me I could try. That usually means you shouldn't. Do I have to roll for Asthmadeus as Modius? Yes.

57:04 I don't know why he said it like that. OK, hold on. He got a nap 20 good dog kill. This. Dog. OK, so how come his Zebulon fail? Everyone else succeeds. I can't fail. I'm the executor of the peaks. A low rumble swells beneath your boots, ancient stone groaning awake. The path trembles, stones clattering loose into the abyss. Agamen and Zebulon you will both take 3D eight of damage.

57:45 From what? Force damage. From what? From the Earth. Get hit by rocks. Yeah. Are you are they getting hit by rocks or are they falling into a fissure? No. They're getting hit by rocks. OK, so 14 force damage to you all or to you and Zebulon? We're alive though, could have been worse. The rest of the party studies themselves against the jagged stone, feeling the vibration roll through their bones like Thunder underwater. The shaking lasts 5 seconds, 5 long seconds, and then silence, say for the echoing fall of debris far below down the slope.

58:31 Augment Zebulon by half buried in frost and gravel as their bruises bloom beneath layers of gear. The air is hot, steam hissing from new cracks in the rock as the others descend to help you. Something in the exposed stone catches their attention. A Dominion Insignia fused into the wall by extreme heat, the metal still glowing faintly, words half melted but legible. It says Pyre Heart 1 Faith, one flame. For a moment, the group stands together on the cracked stone mountains behind them, rumbling softly on here. One path leads into a shadowed ravine, where the air free is cold and oddly muffled.

59:19 The other skirts a Ridge of glowing vents, promising almost a faster route towards Pyre Heart and a greater chance of being seen. Well, he said. We had to be sneaky. Guys. Try yourself in. May, May, May I speak? No, I don't want to go towards the Dominion. And I kind of like show them my scars that I have from them. Yep. Do they leave like a faint glow? And I'm just like, yeah, they, these guys know who I am.

1:00:02 Something to piss them off. They are entombed in the mountain like they are one with the mountain. Hence executor of the Peaks in the name. Now while I'm saying this, I kind of hands debulon a couple helium potions because of the damage we took. OK well I appreciate it, but I unfortunately swore an oath not to drink anything but water for two weeks. Oh, just two weeks, right? Man, good, good man. I can hold on. To it, but I cannot use it. It's. Like triple, I'm gonna hold on to kill you. You could hold on to it then.

1:00:47 I still let you hold on to thank you Sir, but though I, I, I don't think this is a good idea to go that way seen as. That way. So there's towards the Dominion. Well, there there's. Two. Which way was that way? Yeah, so there's one path that descends into a shadowed ravine where the air feels feels cold and oddly muffled, and the other path skirts a Ridge of glowing vents. It promises a faster route towards Pyre Heart, but a greater chance of being seen. Yeah, so none of them said anything about the Dominion. Yes, they did. Well, remember that the remember that the Fire Heart is where the Dominion and the Hollow Host are. Oh yeah, We got to go there anyway. So I mean, you cannot want to go, but that's where we're going.

1:01:37 I. Don't wanna, I don't wanna. She's tied in the back of the character. Would you guys feel better if I scouted ahead invisibly? I can apply invisibility and I'm quite sneaky myself, but. Don't be suspended. I heard that. Was that the bugs? Was that the buggy? That was the hell hound. Yeah, that's the hell. Hound, my boy I. Will feel better if he scouts. Ahead. No, my boy. Other help? Are you sending Zebulon? Yeah. The scouting mission, Yeah, OK. You want to borrow my broom? I.

1:02:20 Don't think so. I don't know if I could make it invisible with me, could I? Sure, part of your equipment at that point. Well, yeah, if I can ride the broom to avoid those rocks again. That was not fun. I might be better at scouting on foot though. I'm going to say no. Yeah, yeah. I mean, no, that's how the spell works. No, he's he's, he's got an item that can make him invisible and he doesn't have the invisibility. Yeah. It applies to self. Specifically, it's. So what about your? Enchanted item. What about your clothing? That's that's part of him.

1:03:03 I think. The broom's more of a vehicle, yeah. OK, so Zebulon will go down the right path and you and I will go to whispers. All right, so you will you'll use the the the I think there's the cloak they gave you there at the cloak of something it. Was a mask mask of Sonic glass. Yep. OK, So you'll pop on the mask, correct? And then I'll give you your ability to just kind of use invisibility free will. I also just bought those boots of Elvin kind so my footsteps are silent. Perfect. They're gonna be advancing stuff. OK, Yeah. So you let's give me one second. OK.

1:03:48 So as you head down this path again, it's really lined with a lot of glowing vents. The path ahead sieves with veins of molten light, cracks that pulse like a slow heartbeat beneath the crust of the world. The Shatter peaks are never truly silent, but they're they're. The sound is more intimate stone whispering to itself, a subterranean murmur of fire and time. You'll pop on the the Audix mask and you can feel just a brush of heat around the mask as you as the air is now sharp with sulfur and heat. And give me a give me a perception check, right? We got a 20 What?

1:04:40 A natural 20. Natural 20 I think my stat is 0 so yeah, still a 20 so. Ahead, from your vantage point, you kind of move along the Ridge of spine, and with each step, stealthily and carefully but absolutely sure, the vents below exhale plumes of red mist, momentary beacons, and the snowstorm light. And through your mask the the world shimmers and tones of Obsidian and ember. And ahead of you that the trail kind of narrows to a ledge overlooking A sunken ravine. And there you spot Dominion. Dominion sigils scorched into the rock marking A restricted route 1/2 collapsed guard post clings to the clipside.

1:05:24 You see 3 silhouettes kind of patrolling the this outpost. You're able to identify 2 Dominion flame guards which are moving with absolutely military precision and their armor is almost like steaming from the the the collision of hot and cold. And you do see one hollow host act like as well, their face kind of hidden by a porcelain mask painted in black ash. And you can hear them almost kind of murmuring, almost a funeral chant under under their breath. And your mask flickers, revealing almost brief fragments of of memory echoes that kind of illusions that are left by recent magic.

1:06:07 And in the distorted shimmer above the outpost, you glimpse almost like ghost, like Dominion officers that are signing underneath a volcanic light. And the image almost fades, leaving the smell of burnt wax. Interesting, so that was a memory echo, not something that's presently there. Correct. That's a effectively an echo of a memory that has yet to be fulfilled, because basically what you've seen is the signing of the accord of the Pyre Hart Accord. Sounds like I'd best get back to my party and let them know what I saw, yeah? Absolutely. So you'll return to the group. The glow of the vents kind of cast him in silhouette before you vanish again under your Vask.

1:06:50 Your masks shroud when you appear among the others. The cold rush of mountain air follows, and with it almost the scent of Dominion oil and choir incense. All right, all. Right. Any questions before we all right Cool. Alrighty friends, I'm back. I spotted 3 guards while I was ahead and it looks like our foes have already met, so we'd best figure out a plan and hurry. I also experienced a memory echo while I was there. It looks like the the Fates are predicting that they will sign this accord.

1:07:39 The memory echo. So like an echo, I saw a vision of our. Foes signing the document that we are here to stop. Well, that can't happen. It hasn't happened yet though, so. But in more practical, real life terms, there's three guards down that path. Right. Is that the fastest path? That's what I want to know. I think so. Yes, that is the fastest pass and and again Zebulon would would relay as well that this the route that you are looking to take is a faster route but it's also a restricted route. So are we?

1:08:20 Are we going to? Like we can't take the cart they'll. See us if we. Correct. Yeah, they they wouldn't want to take the cart anyways if we're going to stealth, but I think we should. I was. Going to say are we going to shock and awe like slotting this shit like. I've got the spell silent image. Could I cast like a haze over our cart so that it's not clearly visible until we're clear or nearby the enemies? You know, I would, I would allow that, however I would, I would have the the patrols. Roll. Investigation or perception with disadvantage to give them the chance to see you. But absolutely, yeah, that's that's a very, very clever way to get around that.

1:09:07 So. I think they can roll not with disadvantage that says in the spell they can do an intelligence investigation check against my spell DC to discern what the illusion is. Yeah, are they wearing armor is my question. They're not even aware that we're coming, you know, is that they can't be specifically looking for you. Yeah, I know, but how far away are they? Black cloud appears. They were at the end of that path. I guess I didn't track exactly how far away it was. Just short. John, fairly out of your shot I would say. I think two of them had answer. Is that? Yeah, I don't recall the specific details. So give me.

1:09:50 A. How far away are they? Is when I'm asking. Yeah, yeah, I would. Let's let's do this. Yeah, cuz he technically he, he didn't ask how far they were in our in our whispers. So I will say this. No, not right now. I will. I will say this, Zebulon, give me a do. You want a 0 or a -, 1. Those are your options. Let's. Go with a nature check. All right. That one's going to be a -, 1, So I got a nine. I don't think you can help. You weren't there.

1:10:31 Yeah, that's true. Yeah. So you, you weren't able really to see how far away it was, but at the vantage point that you were standing at Zemelon, they were at the end of the trail, which seemed a bit far away, not not terribly far, but with, with. Like I said, they're out of earshot. Yeah, not much farther than that. But they're not immediately upon us either. So we can strategize for a minute, if that's what you're asking? Yeah, I'm asking if they're wearing armor specifically. I think they were your standard scouts. I didn't get a super close look at them before I came back. OK.

1:11:20 I have the ability to use know your enemy too, so if I spend a minute observing them or interacting them with them outside of combat, I can learn information about their capabilities compared to myself. Let's get close with the haze under the guise of silent image and see what you can find out. OK, so. Do we know what action they were? It was both factions, both actions were present, two of one and one of the other. Got it. All right, so Zebulon, you are casting. What to do What? Silent image to project a haze of smoke and fog over our carriage or in front of it, so that the enemy can't perceive us clearly as we approach with all of our stuff and people.

1:12:15 OK, so as you all make your way kind of on this trail, you get to a point where you're for sure that they would see you. And then Zebulon kind of closes his eyes and kind of releases a, mutters a phrase under his breath, and a ripple of illusion shimmers around and outward from his gloved fingers, expanding like smoke underwater. The silent image taken form not merely as mist, but almost a living haze. Heat haze mixed with cinders and ash. The kind of illusion that feels almost inevitable in this area, which you are trying to get through. Within seconds, the carriage and all of you are swallowed in this mirage. Now to have you maintain this enough to get past all three guards, I am going to have you roll. We'll do a quick skill challenge here. I'm thinking we will either have you do one of the following and Arcana check a deception checker performance. So arcana is you're just weaving the heat and distortion to make it almost appear identical to what the to what it is around in the region where you are right now. Deception if you want to mimic the motion and timing of a volcanic haze from this area or performance to almost directed like an illusion in a living scene. Deception is definitely the angle I'm going for here, just to make it blend in with the

1:13:47 surroundings. Yeah. All right, go ahead and give me a deception check. All right, I get advantage on those because of my Mask of Onyx glass. Yes, you do. So I'm going to roll 2 dice. I rolled A6 and an 18 + 8, so 26. I think rules as written, they can make an investigation check against my spell DC-19. Yeah, let me do that here if you'd like. To do that as well, yeah. Spencer also, don't forget to check your DMS Yeah? OK, wow. So as you are making your way towards them because of the the image you're not able necessarily to guide the carriage a specific way. So they with the the number that they rolled, they are going to be on high alert.

1:14:58 So I am going to need a. I'm going to say a Wisdom saving throw. From who, everybody. From you, Zebulon, because you're maintaining the illusion. OK I rolled A7 is that a fail that I could re roll? Yeah. All right, second try is a 15 is. That plus anything or. +0. OK, so as you're coming through through the through the illusion of the mist and fog, you still hear the words hot.

1:15:49 Does anybody else want to respond to that? Or what? Why? You halt first. We weren't. Ready for this problem, Sir? We're just heading through. While I'm interacting I I would like to be using my know your enemy to try and determine things. OK. Do all three of them see us, or just two? So at this point, the heat haze kind of holding the illusion, the party wagon kind of rolls quietly across the ashen Ridge, and steam plumes are curling around it like phantoms. Your concentration tightens, your sweat beads beneath your mask.

1:16:48 And his spell. Your spell is threading the spell threads, almost straining to mimic the erratic rhythm of the volcanic vents. And then one vent exhales the wrong direction, and the haze kind of twists against the wind and a perfect spiral of stillness almost amid the storm and the. The acolyte the hollow host acolyte freezes mid chant and the the mirrored porcelain mask almost tilts once, twice, and then she inhales, and the next outhale she breathes is not as breath but as a shivering cord of divine resonance, and the. The spell is dispelled and you are all of a sudden standing right in front of.

1:17:41 Oh, she dispelled us, correct. Nevermind. Yeah, so she and so now you are standing in front of 2 Dominion guards and 1 Hollow Host Acolyte, and I'm going to need everybody to roll. I'm going to need you to roll initiative. Fair enough. Yay. Oh, like 20? I think I got 4. 3. Three tick though. Is this encounter one of three for the day? Yeah. All right. I got 14. OK, give me. A second I will 4:00 grab 5. I just have to.

1:18:25 I got a dirty 20. Is a dirty 20. There's both factions here, right? Yeah, they're both here. Like of the three scouts that are in front of us, there's both of them. Yeah, there's so there's what you, what you see in front of you are two Dominion Flame Guard veterans and the Hula host. Yeah, OK, let's have some fun. You just got all of our. Character sheets completely memorized, right?

1:19:09 Yeah, not like we also just changed all of it by going shopping. Yeah, so the the two I. Can't find. My dog and I'm sad. Oh. No. Are they wearing armor like heavy or medium armor? At the glance, yeah. I just need to know if they're wearing armor or not. Oh yeah, they're wearing armor. They're wearing Ember plate armor. Yeah, they're gonna cook. Let him cook. Let him cook. You might be better off with melee attacks depending on how my turn goes.

1:19:54 I want to cook them the same way they tried to cook me. Hey. What if you could have guaranteed critical hits? Yeah, I'm not a melee build though. Your wild shapes are. My wild shapes. Bear is. I actually UN ready the owl bear because of. Any of your CR 3 wild shapes are going to be just fine for this I think. OK. Yeah. Well, in which case, let me devour the druid itself doesn't lose hit points after the wild shaped eyes, right? No, no, yeah, you, you, you basically think of them as temporary hit points that so like for instance, you'll get for like the bear, I think it's like 30 hit points and. Then when you go.

1:20:42 Down to 0, you revert back to your form and then you have whatever hit points you had when you. Yeah, this will be fun. My sweet baby boy my. Goodness. Sweet baby boy. Let's start. OK. Nearest what'd you refer initiative? It's a dirty 20. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Ogman. 14. Cuz there. I rolled A13AS, Modius rolled A7. OK, I'll have to get that him in there in a minute tomorrow. 5:00 Zebulon. 23 Whoops, I have a suspicion I'm going first, no. Sorry, Cat's attacking me.

1:21:50 I. Thought you were disagreeing like. No. Ha ha, I got a 24. No, my headset was like, hey, I'm at 20% and I'm like, Oh no, I have to plug it in, which means I have a cable and she wants to attack it. With the cable classic. She's already, you know, playing with the yarn that I'm working with. So mine, mine, all of this is mine and nobody else can have it. Everything. Well, yes, she rules this House. I know who is the leader in this situation? Yep. All right, we will start with Zebulon. My cast just an asshole. So again kind of what you see here again the 2 Dominion flame guards dressed in their ember ember plate armor and you see a hollow host acolyte kind of in ceremonial robes who was mid chanted.

1:22:45 That was directly a chant directly at all of you and kind of the terrain is almost like 40 feet across, flanked on either side with a 60 foot drop off. Well, that's quite a hazard nearby, but I'm going to keep my distance. All right, cool. So we'll start with Zebulon. All right, to start my turn, I'm going to summon Baxter, my faithful hound of Ill omen against the Hollow Host. Hell yeah you are. Virtualist or whoever that was, whatever their title was, I don't like to assume no.

1:23:28 Oh. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never assume. And then for my action I'm going to upcast hold person to 4th level to hit all three of them. That is ADC 19 wisdom I think. Saving throne. Yes, Wisdom, Wisdom DC-19 OK. And then the hollow person has disadvantage, OK. Well, because of Baxter, OK, Yeah, I mean, the Hollow Host will fail, Dominion Flame Guard will also fail, and then the second Dominion Flame Guard. What was the DC-19?

1:24:12 He also fails. All right, that's the plan. Get em boys. Free critical hits for everybody. Yeah, OK. Anything else? That's my turn. I stand back, they are paralyzed and I maintain concentration. This is going to be so fun within Dominion. Oh, good question. And he's next to somebody if someone else gets back. Tactics.

1:24:56 No, if you remember the last mission I called her Skippy and I just left it there. So OK so all three immediately fail. So the first flame guard will kind of freeze mid stride, 1 foot kind of suspended inches above the stone underneath him, amber plate glowing faintly but utterly still. The second stops mid swing, the molten edge of his halberd frozen in mid air, a bead of lava cooling in the space between. The acolyte halts mid chant, porcelain mass cracking from the sudden magical stream. Her words die in the throat, and what comes out instead is a faint clink of teeth as her body locks into place. The hound of Oh Omen sniffs the the sulfur air. Baxter good boy comes on in.

1:25:47 So I mean, from there it's Baxter's turn. All right, Baxter makes a bike attack at the the person he's chasing. Yep, he gets advantage. He gets advantage and he rolled us 12 and a 13 with plus 5 S 18. Is that a hit? Is he going after the accolade? Yes, the hollow host. Oh. That hits, Yep. So, all right. And that's a SO. There's an automatic critical hit, yes, because they're paralyzed. So I've got 2D6, so that could be 4D6.

1:26:31 Yes, we're gonna, we're gonna count this critical hit as a critical hit without any other bonuses, you know, so like just double damage or double dice, whatever you want to do, we're not going to have a. Not the flashy critical hits. We're not decafitating all of them in one turn. Yeah, yeah. All right. So rolling 4 dice, I got 12 + 517 damage, and it also automatically fails the throw to B knock prone. So he's paralyzed down on the ground now. Paralyzed on the ground. And turn. OK, cool. Next we will move then to Neros.

1:27:17 Can you describe that terrain again for me? Yeah, sure. There's a 60 foot drop. Where is that in comparison to us and them? Yeah. So you're basically on a 40 foot wide ledge on either side. It's a kind of a 60 foot drop off. How close are they to the edge? They're all kind of in the center, kind of almost like in a triangle formation. The two flame guards are standing in the front and then the hollow host I guess now up Shits Creek in the back. What's at the bottom of the ravine? Just Stone. Just stone and snow, OK? So I guess I'll ask again, how far are we for? Are they from the edge?

1:28:03 I mean, if they're right in the middle of their 10 feet, they're 20 feet from each side. 20 feet from each side. Oh. All right, all right, all right, all right. I'm going to. How far away are we from them? I would say that you are currently about 50 feet away. They spotted you pretty early on. Awesome, I will fly 50 feet and I'll do a a shove attack on one of the Dominion attempting to push them. I guess maybe it's a push attack. I don't I don't guess.

1:29:05 I don't know what the rules are for that. Well, I think it would be a a strength to strength savings. Well, yours would be a. It's the shove action I think. Yeah, I'm gonna say I was just working after. This They're paralyzed. Yeah, so they they automatically fail. Yeah, how far can I? 5 feet I think what it says 5 feet. Hold on, I've got to find it. I was literally just looking at it 5 seconds ago and that makes me mad. I spent so much time reading these rules for another character I want to play. You are right, it is five feet and it's a contested strength check, but because they're paralyzed, they have to fail it. Yep, you are barbarian.

1:29:56 You can throw that. You can throw them though if you have a good strength, just saying. It's 5 feet but if you don't like if you shove them good enough they fall and become prone. I remember reading that I can't find it separate. Like you can either push them in a direction or straight down. Or shove or. Prone them, yeah. You could also do a grapple on your next turn to like pick them up and move them. But if you use 15. Feet of movement, you're done. Yeah, I already use my movement. So I'll shove to move on five feet and then I'll cast gust of wind quickened to push them 15 feet along a line off the 60 foot Cliff. OK.

1:30:44 If I can, if I can get them in a line where so I'll do like the one on the left or the right, push the 15 feet and then get both of them in a line I'll gust of wind them both. OK, so the one on your right you would shove 5 feet and you automatically succeed and then use gust of wind. So the second the second creature Dominion flame guard on your right will fly off. That's 20 feet to his right. The second one will land about 5 feet away from the edge on the left, the mining guard well. No, it has to be, it has to be a line. So the one it would be, they'd go on the same side, they'd be going the same direction.

1:31:37 I think you saw about which one is going off and which one, yeah, but he said. One flew off the left, 1 landed on the right. They both either go to the left or the right. Oh, I see. So you're going to push the one on the left towards the one on the right and then use gust of wind on both of them? In whatever way lets me get one of them off and one of them 15 feet closer to the edge. You really can't, because I can think. Of then I'll just do it to 1. OK, then we'll say then the one on the right slides off. What is it? 1D6 of falling damage for every 10 feet. I think so. 1D6 per 10 feet up to looks like 2 100 feet. So he would take 8D6.

1:32:41 I'm not going to. Actually, I read it wrong. I'm going to position myself so both guards are in my line and I'm going to cast Gust of wind so both of them go. So one will be 5 feet away from the edge and the other one will be 10 feet away from the edge. OK, so you're not going to knock either of them off? Correct. OK, OK. I think that's for the best because if it doesn't kill them the auto critical hits are only in melee range. Yeah. My thought is that, you know, because gust of winds a concentration, if they start their turn in my gust, they get pushed 15 more feet. OK, Anything else then from Uniros? No.

1:33:30 OK, so then we'll go to the first Dominion Flame Guards, which is currently held person incapacitated, but it makes a. Oh hey, starting his turn in my gust, he has to make a strength saver get moved 15 feet. This Wisdom saving throw? He automatically failed that strength throw. Oh yeah, he has a wisdom save to hold person. Yep. Yes. What's the DC he fails? Don't worry about it. OK so first one will take 8D6 of falling damage which will be 36 points and then does the does the second does that happen to the second flame guard one right away too?

1:34:22 When he starts his turn. OK. All right then. Next will be Ogeman. Oh, right, so. When did you turn? Off I I did. I was just talking thinking the ADHD kicked in. Hell yeah. So are any of the Dominions still alive? Well, from what you can see from where you are right now, you just saw Neros basically fuck off with one of the first ones and he fell off the edge and you didn't hear anything because the whole person, he can't scream, he can't do anything.

1:35:04 So all you heard was. Where's the other one? Currently 5 feet away from the edge on the right. OK, I would like to since I'm, I'm, I'm assuming I'm much bigger than this man and he is paralyzed. Your large size you can you can change your your size correct. Yeah, yeah, you. Still large from when you from last session? Did you ever? I am actually. OK, so is is swapping in between medium and large in action? It's a bonus action.

1:35:50 So stupid. OK, OK, yeah. So if you want to go large and then I would say if you basically want to flink one if you're trying to throw one off. Yeah, so I'm going to walk over to this guy and be like, your friends must not have heard the rumor. I'm the executor of the Peaks and I pick him up and I just kind of like drop him off the edge. Do you drop him or throw him over? Or throw him over while like just kind of like, you know, you can tell there's like rage in me, like. I kind of imagine like, have you ever played Gene? Have you ever played Super Mario 64? Yes. You know, in the Bowser levels where you're swinging around and around and around trying to throw Bowser at one of those mines.

1:36:33 Yeah, you're. Basically just going to like discus throat or whatever that is this guy off. So I'm going to add 40 feet to that because you, it was a large, you've got quite a lot of strength, I tell you what, in order to get that bonus. So give me a. We'll say it's a strength check. Oh, a strength check, Yeah, you said. OK, that's a 3020 is a 30. 20. Mother of God. OK, OK, yeah, so basically you're kind of things go round the ground this phlegm God screw the ground and you kind of eat them off of the the ledge. So we'll give you a 10D6 of damage.

1:37:17 Actually, what did I say? Four more. So you get 12D6. That would be, come on, work for me, you stupid Jesus. Just so you know, it's called shot put. But anyway, thank you. No. No, no. I'm thinking the one where it's on like a chord is that this is that discus discus. Is like under a hand, almost like. Maybe. There might. Be there might be a hammer. The Hammer. Throw the hammer, throw. That's it. Yep. The hammer throw. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, stop putting spin in circles too.

1:37:58 So that's why I was. OK, so the other, the other one, you you just kind of, I hate this. Dominion fucks you. Spin round and round and round and you eat this guy into the stratosphere and he goes up and he comes right back down. Anything else? I pee on him from. Like 100 feet away. I pee towards. I pee towards him. Give me a give me a flaccid check. No, let's see here. Sure, what the hell, We'll just call that a free action, all right?

1:38:43 Then I hit my turn. Next is going to be the hollow host acolytes turn wisdom check of 19 right does that beyond. With disadvantage, Yes, Good old Baxter. I'll be 100% honest, he rolled to net once. So, all right, he's very paralyzed. Very paralyzed. Like the cartoon's like, he's like. OK, that's it for his turn. Caste. It's your turn, so. Your turn fantastic on. His throat.

1:39:28 How far away are? We from so I mean, right now you're about 60 feet away from the only person still standing on the sledge. I'm sorry. I think the accolades on is prone. Am I? Am I correct? Yeah, 'cause Baxter hit. Him. Yep. So he's. He's laying to the ground. He's just like next. To my dog. Yeah, your dog's like. But he's still like 60 feet from me. Yeah. OK, so I'm going to move one my allotted 30 feet because that's all the farther I can move, and then I'm going to cast Eldritch Blast on this dude, OK?

1:40:11 Roll the hit with advantage. I got a 19 and an 8 so 19. Plus anything. What would that be plus? Typically plus your spell attack bonus, right? Like if I know what that is? With the patency of agonizing blast. No. You should. If you don't have agonizing blast, you don't add anything. OK, so the yeah that. Was. Blast that hits. No, I just got Eldridge Blast. OK, cool, so then I'm going to roll. Right. Do you have any invocations though?

1:40:53 As a warlock he would get invocations. I don't know I'm. Looking. Y'all, I'm not good at this crap. I don't know. I think agonizing blast is just for damage to hit is like your charisma modifier plus your proficiency bonus, plus any items you've got that modify it starting at 8 or zero. I don't remember so many items. No, it doesn't look like she has them, no.

1:41:36 You should still have some kind of a modifier to hit if your charisma's positive. Yeah, probably like a seven or something like that. In any case, 19's good. Yeah, I mean, in any case, yeah, it's 19's good, so. Very cool. So that is a critical hit because back to standing right next to him so you can roll for double damage. I just rolled it D10. Literally a 10 + 2 is 12. Roll again for exploding dice.

1:42:17 I rolled a 8 + 2. That's 10. So 22 in total. Yeah. OK. All right. Anything else? I think you get 2 blasts. Yes, you do. You're. Right. That's a separate attack, correct? It's like the same action 01 spell that shoots 2 rays. OK, so roll double dash again. All right, I got an 11 on the first one and an 11 on the second one. So 2022 again. 22 keys is great.

1:42:57 OK, all right. Anything else? No, you do. You do have agonizing blast. You add your Charisma modifier to your damage. What's your charisma? You have a + 2 charisma, so you get an. It's an extra 4 damage because it's two per blast. Bad. So add that to whatever I just told you. Yep, good luck. OK, all right. And then it will go to the Dominion Flame Guards turn now because he got heeded off by Augerman. Does the gust of wind still affect him? Only if he starts his turn there.

1:43:37 OK, so yeah, he, he's already he, he got thrown over by Augerman, so yeah, but. Augerman. Augerman would be impacted. Too. Yep. But only if he starts his turn there. That's where he's starting his turn. Or started. Oh, starting his turn. So yeah, I mean, he can. You end it before the start of his next turn. I mean, I could or I could just turn it. He's the only one there. Just turn the fan a little bit. OK so he can't do shit except roll for the check which he rolled in 19. Oh, he breaks free. He will break less. He's got like a -, 1 to. As he's wiping wiping urine off of him.

1:44:18 Who? Put it on break. Why? Does he have? Why does he have his mouth full of shit? We're not talking about Ogamon really needed to go. As as I'm as I'm like re tying my trousers, smiling at him. So yeah, I mean, he's 60 feet down so and I mean, he does, they do. So he's going to attempt to climb. He can only make it, I would say 15 feet. So and he rolled in the 24 on the check. So what's up?

1:45:01 No, never mind. I think we'll do it post game. It's just a way to optimize Kasdea because I'm looking at her sheet and there's probably some things that she took that she didn't know she took and didn't want to take. Yeah, that might have been my fault too, cuz I'm kind of where is her character? She is it in Oh, it's in the scare about OK. Just she's AT fling with with dark vision already, but you took the the blind sight invocation, so it's kind of like unnecessary to use. Darkness yourself, that's still important. True, true, but I've got darkness yet.

1:45:43 Yeah, the. Ability to see through it myself I didn't know that we. Could talk about. It yeah, cool. Yeah, yeah, I'd be like, save that one for me. And I'm talking about the Dominion guy climbing up. I mean, you can certainly try. Yeah. So 24 on the athletic track. He'll start climbing. He'll make it 15 feet up, and that's all he can do. So next will be Savara. Why? Who's closest to me that's an enemy. I mean, the only one that's up. I mean, like, yeah, it's the only one that's up right now.

1:46:26 It's the hollow host acolyte. I mean, the the mini 2 is actively how far away? He's about 35 feet below you over the ledge. The the no, the hollow host. Were you standing by in front of the. I was front. Front. Yeah. So they'd be about 45 feet away. He'd be about 45 feet. Right. I'm going to have to dash. That's enough. Or you could pull a card. No. OK. So you'll dash to him? Yeah. That's. Yeah. I.

1:47:08 Probably would get stay out of melee range because that's what I got. If you go in, well, no, he's got advantage because he's paralyzed. Anyways, so I would just like get close enough so the next turn I can go in, but that's that's all I I got. OK, all right then we will go to the top of the order and I need everyone to give me a, a Dexterity saving throw please, as a jet of super heated steam kind of fires out from the the side vent and I need everybody to see if they will take any damage or not from that. The steam from my urine.

1:47:56 Correct. Yeah, you're you're looking to not get peed on. 22 Oh my God. Oh, that's awesome. Dear God, no. Around a nice round 5. I got a 8. Was the DC5? If so, we did great guys. Yeah, All right, let's let's do this. Who rolled under a 15? Me. Me. Do I have to roll with my broom? Yes. Then I got a three. OK, so the three of you shall take 5 fire damage. All right.

1:48:41 All right next to Zebulon. All right, I think I'm going to walk up to the edge of the Cliff and twin fire bolt the 2. Guys, before you do that, save the one climbing for me please. I'll try, but I don't the best control over these fire bolts sometimes. All right. Two attack rows please. All right. And the guy on the ground is that with advantage? Yes, he's still held. Against him I rolled A-17 and an 18 + 11 so OK. Yeah, that hits. 29 sounds like a hit. Oh yeah, I'll roll for the other guy right away just to see if I hit.

1:49:27 OK, that's a 4 + 11 is 15. That could still be a hit, but I doubt it. That is not a hit. All right, so I just hit the one guy, 2D10. There's the 10s. I got a 19. Jesus. Christ. 19 fire damage on that one that's paralyzed on the ground. OK. All right. Anything else for you? I think that's all. I'll back away from the ledge a little bit. To the center game, Festus Boy Baxter.

1:50:09 All right, he attacks the Hollow host acolyte with advantage. He rolled a 14 + 5 is 19 that. Is a hit. That's a hit, so it's a critical hit. Yes, it is I. Think he does 2D6SO4D6 come. On all ones. It was all fives except for a 1, so 16 + 3 right +3 for strength. So as Baxter goes to bite the Christ out of this heartless accolade, it just tears into its skin, smashing the mask that it was wearing, and mangles this thing, and it dies. One down, good boy Baxter.

1:50:58 He fades away into nothingness. All right, anything else for Baxter the good boy? No, if his enemy's gone, he's dead. Oh, yeah, Yeah, you're right. His enemy dies. Yep. All right, So he will. Bye. Bye, Baxter. Bye, Baxter. All right, Nero's. You are up. He's. Still climbing one. There's one guy climbing and there's another guy dead and the third guy that we don't know. Paralyzed at the bottom of the. Chasm Paralyzed at the bottom of the chasm. But is he alive? He doesn't look that great, not.

1:51:40 What? I asked. He. I think he's alive. He's still active. He's alive. Yep. OK, I'm gonna go hover my pretty ass right over the ledge on my broom and then use my bonus action to redirect the air and point it down. Oh, like the heat vent? No, no. Oh, he's got to win. Oh yeah. OK, So what is that so? Now it's, well, when he starts his turn, he'll be pushed 15 feet down the 15 feet he already climbed. But with 60 mile an hour, 4 assistants. Yeah.

1:52:29 So basically another one. Does he fall? But he falls with 60 mile an hour winds. And he hits the ground hard. Gotcha. OK, All right. Anything. Else and then. Well, yeah. Is there another guy down there? Oh yeah. Is he right below the other guy? No, he's about 10 feet away from him. About 10 feet away. Yeah, he's just laying. So he doesn't look great. Yeah, he looks, doesn't look that great. He's pretty. He's pretty bloodied. What is is this one target, one round?

1:53:10 What a creature of your choice within range. All right, I'm going to cast guiding bolt. OK, twinned. Do I have to make a range spell attack or is he still paralyzed? He's still, he's still paralyzed, right? He you, you get advantage on the roll. So I get advantage, Yeah, Okie dokie, that's 17 plus something that hits, and then the twinned one will be a 15 plus something, so 23. Oh, that hits. So 2 guiding bolts is going to be a flash of streak towards creature on a hit.

1:53:55 Target takes 46, so he takes 86. Jesus. Christ. Oh, that's 314 ones, 23 damage only. OK, he's not looking great. He's it looks very, very, very, very hurt. Yeah, and the next attack on him has advantage. OK. I mean, I guess more advantage done. Super advantage. All right, Next will be his turn. So he will first attempt to wisdom his way out of there. That's a 10, so that's not going to work.

1:54:37 All right, So yeah, that's it for him, Mogamin. So I look at this guy climbing up and I just kind of tell him I'm like, I want you to cook the way my arm did. And I use heat metal on his armor. My. God, OK, I love when this happens. I love it when people use heat metal to use it on armor. So that's what fire damage? No, I'm casting it as a force level, so it's 48.

1:55:19 My God, this guy's going to melt 4D8. All right, roll it. Let me see here. That's 25 fire damage. So you kind of peer over the edge, all a scar and Mufasa, and you kind of like, go what did you? What did you say? You said I'm going to melt you like you melted my arm. I want you to cook the way my arm did. Say I want you to cook like my arm did and then you like you kind of put your hand down towards him and the heat just starts radiating off your hand and he starts screaming in pain as he just kind of let's go and hits the ground and it's just help me. And then just red heat just overtakes him and he just burns and he dies.

1:56:25 Hey, what the hell? Look at everybody in your house. You'd be like, it's personal. And I just kind of walk away from the ledge. Wait, don't walk away, jump and attack the last one I got. You I can't attack you. What are you talking about? Oh yeah, you're out of his house? Never mind. Jump, jump. Otherwise I totally would just be just because I hate them so much. Augerman Don't jump. Sets up camera. Click OK Jump. Yeah, with that, I just kind of like walk away and end my turn. God damn.

1:57:05 OK, Cass. Daya, you're up. No fun. So Kaze is currently now talking to Asmodeus saying it's OK and we're trying to teach him who friend from foe is. And she's going to look up and just be like, oh, my turn. Finally she's going to get up. It's going to walk over to the side of the ledge and she's going to look down there and she's going to look and see how far away is the guy down there. So he's 60 feet down. He kind of landed about 10 feet, you know, further. So yeah, it's about 70 feet away. OK, cool, I'm going to cast Eldridge Blast again because that's fun. Be like that.

1:57:46 Can I do that? Can you do more than one cantrip? Oh yeah. Kind of do this, you can use a cantrip. As much as you want, yeah. Yeah, Eldridge Blast is one of the more broken cat rips. Especially when you get the ones that can push. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, if you. Actually killed a blast I. Was going to build an Eldridge blaster. OK, go ahead and roll for roll for attack with advantage. That's a Nat 20. How do you want to do this? Guys Day is going to, I don't know, she's going to reach her hands out in front of her and kind of like cross them.

1:58:28 She's going to like brace herself in the dirt because she's 4.5 and anybody. She's going to catch the glass. All the while she's just going to scream because why not? OK, so you're you're going to walk to the edge, you kind of cross your hands, dig your hand, your feet into the into the ground and go coming. Oh, sorry, I thought you were going to come and you're just going to let loose this bolt of arcane energy and just. Pretty much. OK, cool. All right, we're in a combat, folks. Like, I kind of look at Kaz Day.

1:59:14 I was like, that's the way we treat all these Dominion dogs. I didn't even get to fucking do anything. I'm and I like Savara just turns around so pissed and she's like, I know, order all right, I know. But I couldn't get there fast enough. And she's like, there's like practically steam coming out of her ears. It's like she almost makes it personally. Stomping. Oh she is. She is stomping back to the cart. Think I hear your weapon whisper. You should have thrown me. Then I couldn't have gotten you back. 'Cause they was going to kind of like jump up and give Ogrevan a high 5.

2:00:01 I'm just going to walk towards Savara and kind of pat around the back and go there. There, I understand. We'll let him. We'll let you get him next time. You'll get him next time. Way to go, slugger. OK. So you'll just continue on kind of licking your wounds a little bit. I mean, I don't think any any one of you took any damage whatsoever. I took. Five damage. Trauma. Well. I did, I got blasted by steam. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Yep. You, you all took what did I say, 5 fire damage? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whoa, sorry, Zevion. Was it like 13 from rocks or something like that? I'm at 37 right now.

2:00:41 I could use a short rest OK. Short rest. Why don't you just take a potion? Oh wait, Oh my, I could heal you. I mean I am a clearer. Oh yeah, you could heal me. OK. So I mean, we'll just say that that kind of occurs then, you know, during the, you know, between the morning and afternoon. Oh, then I'm going to take a long rest for a short rest. OK, yeah, cool. Then go ahead and roll your head ducks for that. Let me know how many you get back. All right, let's see here. There's 5 views. Will pull up my 5 again. Neros, can you roll me AD 100 please? Yeah, possibly D100. Roll that.

2:01:27 Oh, what? What's good? High or low? There there really is no venture of high and good. It's it's a random encounter table, so. Then it's 58. Why is that? Why do I feel like you've lied to me about that? No. That's 58. Oh, I see. It's. OK, so as Zebby on, you're just kind of in the carriage. It's kind of like Fortnite Med packing your arm up and stuff and licking your wounds and. Spent two hit dice for 15 health. Not bad, so. You're back up to full health. Also please let me know if anything within that comes within 15 feet of us that is hostile cuz I get alerted.

2:02:17 OK. Sorry, 30 feet, not 15. I don't know if I said 15. So the you said, you said 30. 30 feet, yes. OK, so as the Ridge kind of quiets after the clash and three Dominion corpses cool into stillness, steam currently from their armor, the hollow host slides motionless, porcelain mask cracked into a spider web of fractures, and when Zebulon removes it, there's nothing behind it. No face, no body, only a trace of white ash that drifts away in the heat. The Syndicate carriage you press on, wheels crunching glass, stone. The road narrows into a fissure carved by centuries of eruptions.

2:02:59 White filters in through the jagged spine of the mountains above. By mid afternoon, the slope kind of levels into a plateau of black sand where ash snow falls like Gray rain. The wind changes tone high, keening like a choir sung on the edge of hearing, and I'm in. I need AI need a a perception check please. From everyone. Just argument. That's got to be a inspiration, just saying. Yeah, Argument, you get an inspiration for that? That's funny. Audio listeners, we love you. Argument just send a GIF in the in the chat. That's this hole in the ground that clearly has a leak in.

2:03:40 It's a water shooting up. This guy's just standing there exactly where he would be paying it from and just just so funny. Can you hear me there? You go. So I got a 7 on my perception I. 7 On the perception. I'll tell you what, let's have everybody give me a perception check. Oh my God, I can't believe I just peed on a man. What's the BC and should I take my passive? 15 you can absolutely take a passive if you want you. Got a 20. I have advantage anyway. I got a 24. 26.

2:04:23 Who got who got above a 14? Jesus. Most of us. I think everybody. Yeah, I think everybody. But it's looking the wrong way. I'm. So what's all of you see? Is that the flakes, the the flakes around you don't melt. They they cling. They pulse faintly, almost red for a heartbeat before fading away, each carrying the mark of a rune drawn in blood ash. And each one melts only when touched by direct sunlight. Which which of? There is none here. Then movement on the on the horizon, a procession of figures approaches along the Ridge. A dozen shaped, draped and tattered vestments, massive bone and Obsidian. Their bodies emit a dim, eternal glow. I'm sorry, internal glow.

2:05:08 Not flame, but memory, like the shimmer of a dying remembering of what it was to live. They are the echoes of the Pale Choir, spectral remnants of the pale zealots who perished during the first Pyre Heart siege. And they March in perfect unison towards the caldera below, whispering in unison, One Flame 1, Faith 1, and over and over and over. So there are, you know, a few different ways you can go about this. You can, you know, attempt to, to pass them and just or just kind of hide and let them pass or you can attempt to, you know, whatever you want to do here this, this one's kind of a role play session or a role play kind of that whatever you want to do. What are they?

2:05:58 They are what they say, echoes. You wouldn't know. You didn't see shit. That's true, yeah. You wouldn't see shit. Yeah. What are you talking about? You see, You see the guy you peed on all the way over there? I can hear them though clearly, can't I? No, that's why you rolled the perception. Yeah. Not with a four or whatever, like a 7 or whatever you rolled in it. Yeah, yeah. Hey, what are they? Echo Nayak, Can I observe them and get some information? Sure. A minute. Yeah. At this point they're, they're pretty, you know, pretty far away. I'd say about 150 ish feet. I couldn't do anything about that.

2:06:39 Yeah, I roll for insight of like what everybody's checking out. I'll I'll say argument. Look over there. I look over there. Oh, you see the? Pale Choir. Yeah. Champion. So they're not dominion is my question. No, they're not. Now no one can say I I withheld everything every time I saw it. Sometimes I tell people. I mean, let's just, let's be honest, me and you have that kind of connection. I was about to jump off a Cliff if I had action. I peed on a man. I'm just happy about it.

2:07:20 I think I would like to silent image project us up a rock facade to hide behind so that Savara can inspect them better. Can we get close? Sure. I mean, basically what you can do there is effectively make the rock facade around you still able to see through it. So you can observe and they can just pass on by. I would need a stealth check from everyone just to make sure somebody isn't. Right or. Something, but I will say that because it with the silent image that you all can have advantage well.

2:08:02 All was bad, but my character is good at this. 16. I got 15 18. 16 + 12 that's 28. Spencer, are you live? Oh my God, I'm muted my mic. I'm so sorry. OK? You Effectively, you would not, Spencer. You would not. Check your DMS. I saw it, you would not know. Then. OK. So everybody succeeded on their stealth check.

2:08:48 So as they get closer and closer, we'll say at this point now approximately 60 feet away so far, you can begin to study them. These are what was it I sent, like the specifics of what know your enemy does in the chat. That's right. We've done this once before and I believe each time I had to roll something after I think every three. I don't remember.

2:09:38 Yeah, we'll say that. I'll I'll call for sporadic insight checks. Can I help her with insight since I'm professional maybe? So what else? Yeah, you can. You certainly can. You definitely see like Savara just kind of like her eyes narrow and she's really studying these guys now, like sizing them up. OK, so I'll have you 1 by 1.

2:10:18 Savara, ask me. You can pick any one of those. You know, it doesn't have to be in that order. But every, I will say every two that I will require an insight check. I will allow it with advantage if Ogamon is assisting you or helping you. So go ahead and ask your first know your enemy question above or below 94 hit points below. OK. You're pretty tough, I feel. Like it's got to be below for almost all of these. Let's go above or below 16 decks. Neither.

2:11:16 OK. Who? All right, go ahead and give me an inside check with advantage, not is that with advantage. I can help. You know, I'll use an inspiration on that. There you go. Do I re roll bulls or just one? Just one. OK, Oh my God, that almost was really bad, but it's fine. It did go up. It's 14 now. OK, all right, I'll give you the next question. OK, let's go.

2:12:05 Welcome to the salties for two. And how tough are you above or below? 16 Con below. All right, doing insight check. Still with advantage? Yeah, I'll say that as long as you succeed. Arguments assisting you. Oh, there we go, 18. All right, go ahead and give me your next two. Let's go. Huh. Well you have strength, AC hit points. Did you do total level? Not yet. What is? That's like the only one I like, you know? Total level under or below or above 10 below total that's good Above.

2:12:55 No. No total for the one she's targeting, not the group. OK. Below total class level, yeah. And then I guess since I get 2 you seem dumb. AC under 22, yes. I hope so. Yeah. We hope so. If it wasn't, that would be really good to know right now though. Cheap metal roll. Again. OK, 8 So that's what I got. All right.

2:13:35 That's all I'm going to give you. I wish I could have helped. You did. I wish I could. Have rolled. I wish I could have rolled for you. I have a + 0 for insight so. I have a + 6. OK. So as they now approach 50 feet 40, when they get to 30 feet, all of a sudden Zebulon, you kind of feel as you're kind of holding concentration on the on the facade, the silent image, you feel like a like a ricochet almost and almost like it like reverberates back and all of a sudden the facade is gone. They spotted us guys.

2:14:32 Well, I mean, you can give me all a stealth check. They haven't. They haven't necessarily spotted you yet. I'm going to throw my hood up on my cloak of invisibility. OK, I'll just say you automatically succeed this 1 then. OK. Invisible, so I'll do that. Good luck, visible friends. 29. I got a text. What was happening? I'm sorry. Roll for. Slow. Oh, OK, Hey, I'm not disadvantaged anymore, right? Oh, 21. Hello, Boots of Alvin kind.

2:15:17 OK, So what will happen is as you all attempt to hide, your actions are silent. Your minds, however, are not and they will be able to hear you via your thoughts. And I am going to need everyone to roll initiative. And that's where we're going to end tonight's session of crit happens because we are going to be in this this battle for quite a while. So we will call session there.

2:15:59 Hey, great first day. I think 22 encounters, 2 combats. Hell yeah. We're on the way to the Pyre Heart Accord. Yeah, well done. I wanted to, I wanted to turn into an Angeliosaurus right in the middle of him and just start spinning. Let's take a spiky top. I'm. Really not happy about what happened by the way, that she got to do Jack shit. She didn't technically retreat because it fucking ended before she could do anything, correct? That's true.

2:16:41 Cool. All right, well, that will do it for tonight's session. Thank you, players. Thank you, agents. You're on your way to the Pyre Heart accord to which anything can happen.
