Then, a former police chief and convicted killer they call the Devil in the Ozarks dresses up like a corrections officer and literally walks out of prison. Let's start in Georgia, where we have a new contender for the most disturbing use of TikTok. I've ever seen. Sarah Grace Patrick, seventeen, was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault in connection to the slayings of Kristen Brock, forty one and James Brock, forty five. The couple was found dead inside their home on February twenty with apparent gunshot wounds. But here's where this gets truly twisted. For months, Patrick took to social media crying over the deaths of her mother, Kristin Brock, and stepfather James Brock. In one post captioned please send prayers for healing, Patrick added, I should prob delete later. She never did think about that.

One TikTok video posted by then sixteen year old Sarah Grace Patrick may seem like a heart it felt plea for support, but it was uploaded just over a week after she allegedly shot and killed her mother and stepfather while they slept. And it gets worse. She didn't just post crying videos. Patrick reached out to multiple TikTok influencers to bring attention to the case. Screenshots shared by content creator allegedly reportedly show that a user named Sarah Grace contacted her in June, writing search up brockcase. They're my parents and out of nowhere a random Thursday night in February, someone came in my house with me and my five year old sister and shot my parents brutally. In one message, Patrick reportedly said media coverage of the murder would be a really big hit, a really big hit. Your parents are dead, allegedly by your hand, and you're thinking about going viral.

2:49 The TikTok creator, allegedly reportedly with one hundred twenty thousand followers, later said why would you ask me to cover a case where you are going to get arrested for taking your parents' lives? And Sarah was interactive with the comments. When one TikTok user wrote, from an investigative standpoint, it would seem that it was someone who knew them, hoping for answers and swift justice, Patrick responded, most definitely was since they knew the house. She's literally commenting on theories about her own crime. Kelly Brown, a family friend of the Brons, claims Patrick told her she didn't hear anything unusual the night her mother and stepfather were killed, except she did hear James's LVAD machine, which is his heart machine that kept his heart pumping. She did hear that alarm going off throughout the night. James Brock had an LVAD, a mechanical heart pump. This man was waiting for a heart transplant, and his stepdaughter allegedly shot him in his sleep.

3:53 At her bond hearing, several friends and church associates spoke on her behalf, some of them wearing I Stand with sarahs. Her friends contended she just doesn't have this in her and is not the evil person the Brock family is making her out to be. Well, the judge wasn't buying it. A judge denied bail for the teen, and prosecutors say they have mountains of evidence against Patrick. Patrick herself made the nine to one one call to report that her parents were injured. The saddest victim in this case is the Brox toddler, who is now parentless. A five year old little girl who was in the home and discovered the bodies. Ashley Holsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, said We don't know what goes through the mind of a child that wants to harm her parents.

This is what happens when true crime becomes entertainment and everyone thinks they're the main character. This girl allegedly murdered her parents and then tried to crowdsource her own investigation on TikTok. She wanted to be both the victim and the detective in her own true crime story. The narcissism is staggering, the calculation is chilling, and somewhere out there, a five year old has to grow up knowing her sister killed their parents for TikTok fame. Now, let's talk about Arkansas, where they apparently hand out prison guard uniforms at the gift shop. Grant Harden, fifty six, escaped from a state prison in northern Arkansas on Sunday afternoon, May twenty fifth, after he appears to have tried to imitate law enforcement to break out. Harden escaped by impersonating a corrections officer in dress and manner, causing the corrections officer operating the gate to open the gate and allow inmate Harden to walk away. Let me repeat that, this convicted murderer and rapist put on a fake uniform and a guard just opened the door for him. Who is Grant Harden? Oh, just your typical small town police chief turned serial predator. Previously served as a police officer in Fayetteville, Huntsville, and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was fired from the Fayetteville Police Department and was allowed to resign instead of being

6:10 fired from the Eureka Springs Police Department after being accused of falsifying information in a report. Harden was in prison for killing Gateway City Water employee James Appleton in twenty seventeen and raping teacher Amy Harrison in nineteen ninety seven. He was sentenced to thirty years for Appleton's murder and fifty years for the sexual assault. Both cases were featured in the twenty twenty three Max documentary Devil in the Ozarks. The sister of one of his victims, Cheryl Tillman, said, we were there at his trial when all that went down, and he's seen us there. He knows these families had to live in fear for two weeks. Former Benton County Prosecutor Nathan Smith told CNN He's a sociopath. He's extremely dangerous.

6:55 He's already proven that he has no moral core or center that would prevent him from doing anything. And where did they find this mastermind criminal? After a massive two week man hunt with drones, helicopters, and tracking dogs, he was captured Friday afternoon, just one point five miles west of the prison grounds. Harden briefly attempted to run from officers when he saw them approach, but he was quickly tackled to the ground. He'd been on the run for a week and a half and probably didn't have any energy left in him. A mile and a half, this dangerous sociopath was basically camping in the prisons backyard for two weeks. The rugged northern Arkansas terrain, with plentiful caves and old outbuildings, offered a fugitive many places to hide.

7:40 But here's the kicker. Hardin had six different law enforcement jobs across northwest Arkansas from nineteen ninety to nineteen ninety one at Fayetteville PD. His termination letter said his efforts fall short of the average probationary officer, and his tendency to not accept constructive criticism along within decisiveness under stressful situations led to his dismissal. Former Chief Earl Hyatt said Harden resigned from Eureka Springs PD because Hyatt was going to fire him over incidents that included the use of excessive force. He did not need to be a police officer at all, Hyatt told television station KNWA. Yet somehow this guy kept getting hired as a cop town after town, badge after badge, until he finally became a killer. Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders thanked everyone for catching him, especially and I quote Secretary Christy Noam, who sent a team from Border Patrol that was instrumental in tracking and apprehending Harden.

Travis Ranking, the convicted shooter was sentenced to four life sentences. In twenty twenty two, Judge Mark Fishburn is hearing the appeal for a new trial. Ranking's current defense attorneys filed a one hundred and ninety three page amended moste, arguing his previous lawyers never brought in their own mental health experts. According to the new filing, recent psychiatric evaluations suggest Ranking was suffering from intense delusions in paranoia. One psychiatrist noted that Ranking

Garkar testified Monday with what he called a very clear schizophrenia diagnosis before twenty eighteen He mentioned Ranking's countless delusions, including that he and Taylor Swift were a couple and that the CIA was trying to kill him. He believed he was acting in self defense. He said he had been tormented and tortured by the CIA for a long time. A Garkar added when asked if Ranking understood what he was doing, the doctor said, no, not at all. I mean, it's very clear he truly believed, still believes that these things were happening. So no, it's very clear his reality is not the rest of ours reality.

In twenty seventeen, Ranking had said he wanted to commit a mass shooting and that when he did the shooting, he was planning to make people think he was insane. At the time, before he drove to the waffle house, he had packed an escape bag that not only included a gun and more ammunition, but also included some silver bars that he would be able to exchange for cash on the road so he wouldn't have a trace of a credit card silver bars. This insane man packed untraceable currency for his escape. After he got done, he went home. He took a shower, he changed clothes. That's not insanity, that's calculation. Among those in attendance was Shandel Brooks, whose son Aquila da Silva, was killed by Ranking.

Regardless of Judge Mark Fishburne's decision on the request for a new trial, Ranking will never be released from custody due to the undisputed evidence of his guilt in the murders. Look, I'm not saying mental illness isn't real. But when you plan your insanity defense a year in advance, pack silver bars for your getaway, and then take a shower to wash off the evidence, that's not schizophrenia. That's murder. One four young people are dead. Their families have to relive this nightmare because some lawyer thinks they can. Monday Morning Quarterback a conviction. The jury got it right the first time.
