The Feast of Saint Mark
Tradition holds that Mark, the author of the second Gospel, is the "John Mark" of the Acts of the Apostles.
A reading from the First Letter of Saint Peter 5: 5b-14 God opposes the proud/ but bestows favor on the humble.
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 16:15-20 Jesus appears to the Eleven and tells them: Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
