How AI, Storytelling, and Family Legacy Can Shape the Future with Cristian Cibils Bernardes
What if the stories your family carries today could help guide the people you love tomorrow?
In this episode of The Audacious Living Podcast, Audley Stephenson sits down with Cristian Cibils Bernardes, founder of Autograph AI, for a powerful conversation about storytelling, identity, curiosity, creative risk, and the future of human connection in the age of AI. Cristian shares the deeply personal journey that led him to build a company focused on preserving family stories, voices, memories, and lived experiences in a way that future generations can actually interact with.
At the heart of this conversation is a bigger question: what happens when technology is used not to replace our humanity, but to protect and deepen it? Cristian explains how his upbringing in Paraguay, his experience at Stanford and Google, and his own reflections on family, legacy, and loss all shaped the vision behind Autograph AI. What he is building is not just about recording the past. It is about creating a bridge between generations and giving people new ways to understand who they are and where they come from.
Audley and Cristian also explore why storytelling is more than communication. It is identity. It is how we make meaning of our lives. Cristian offers a thoughtful perspective on how we are not only the protagonists of our stories, but also the authors, editors, and publishers of them. That idea opens the door to a deeper discussion about self-awareness, personal growth, and the power of choosing how we interpret our experiences.
This episode also dives into the role of curiosity and creative risk-taking. Cristian reflects on leaving secure opportunities behind to write, build, and create something that felt uncertain but necessary. It is an honest look at what it means to step outside the familiar and trust that something meaningful can be built on the other side of discomfort.
This conversation is for anyone thinking about legacy, wrestling with change, exploring bold ideas, or trying to understand how to stay deeply human in a rapidly changing world. If you have ever wondered how your story shapes your life, or how technology can be used in service of something meaningful, this episode will give you a lot to sit with.
