“CBS Sunday Morning” correspondent Mo Rocca explains what drew him to highlight stories about historical figures that many people may not know about. He also shares why Obit Con might be better than Comic Con and we wax poetic about encyclopedia salesmen in Iowa.

Many things have changed because of the current pandemic, but one thing remains true: we could all use a good laugh right about now. In this episode, Association Chat host KiKi L'Italien interviews humorist, journalist, and actor Mo Rocca about the role that humor plays in times of adversity.

Mo is best known for his off-beat news reports and satirical commentary. He is also the host of CBS’s series The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation. The show features stories about some of the world’s greatest inventions—past and present—and the effort it took to create them, educating and inspiring audiences with stories of creativity, hard work, and passion.

Mo created and hosted the Cooking Channel’s My Grandmother’s Ravioli, in which he learned to cook from grandparents across America. He is also a frequent panelist on NPR’s hit weekly quiz show Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me!
