Today, we are taking a look at the events industry and a key figure in the events industry, Miguel Neves.

If before March 2020, you were part of an organization with in-person events as a large piece of its business model and culture, then over the past year you have probably gotten very interested in what is taking place in the events industry.

When EventMB first asked its readers in 2020 when they expected a return to business, over 75 percent answered that the industry would be back to normal by the first quarter of 2021 at the latest. Clearly, things didn’t turn out that way.

Many associations have annual conferences, trade shows, and in-person training at the center of how they operate, to fulfill their mission and support their members, but also to support their revenues. Many of those same associations have been trying to figure out how to offer virtual or hybrid solutions.

At the same time, event technology is evolving fast and event professionals are finding new ways to package their event experience to meet the needs of their customers.

Observing and reporting on all of this has been EventMB, the go-to online resource for trends, technology, innovation and education for the event industry.

Miguel is the new Editor-in-Chief of EventMB, the largest online resource for the events industry. He lives and breathes the event tech sector and is deeply engaged in the global online community of event professionals.

I met Miguel when he was with IMEX Group focusing on social media and community management for the company and helping to deliver both the IMEX and IMEX America trade shows.
