Hilary Howes is the CXO of Moonshot Event Production famous for her award-winning sets and lighting she is now innovating in virtual events to create the new media of online engagement. VP of Communications for MPI - Potomac Chapter she has been sharing her expertise on creative communication with MPI chapters, ASAE and PCMA publications as well as interviews for the past 20 years.
Beginning her career on the west coast in entertainment design, she moved on to retail, photography, exhibit, and trade shows. Nationally recognized now in the special event industry all of her past creative work is now part of her work in creating online experiences until we can meet live again.
Authenticity is a deeply held personal value that brought her to transition to live as a woman in 1995. Her spiritual path since then has led her to found TransCatholic.org a Roman Catholic apostolate to support the dignity and inclusion of transgender laity. She is a published author and speaker on faith and gender for a wide range of catholic organizations.
Personally she is 42 years married, a parent of a performance artist, and most likely to be skippering her 30’ sailboat on the Chesapeake when not working or traveling.
Her personal and professional mission is to be of service in telling authentic stories that create an impact in our society.
