Lorraine’s Bio:

Lorraine Woodward is an entrepreneur, business owner, and a life-long advocate for people with disabilities. After graduating from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Lorraine entered the business world with enthusiasm and optimism to make a positive difference in the community. She created the National Barrier Awareness Foundation, a precursor of the Americans With Disabilities Act, with the purpose of educating communities about the attitudinal, architectural and communicative barriers that face by individuals with disabilities and their families.


Her career of 30 years has seen her at the helm of several successful start-ups in the communications and marketing industries specializing in non-profits, professional associations, and consumer products. She has earned numerous national professional and community service awards and recognitions, including 5 global awards, 16 national awards, 12 state awards, 1 regional award and 15 local awards. In addition she has received recognition as an Outstanding Young Women of America Award, 2,000 Notable American Women, and Media Access Awards. and has been inducted to the National Hall of Fame for Persons with Disabilities & the YWCA Academy of Women.


She owns an accessible short-term rental properties in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, and another in her home town of Conway, Arkansas.  Her latest venture, Becoming rentABLE, is a reality television show and social media platform dedicated to education and advocation for accessible short-term rental properties across the United States.


Splitting time at Carolina Beach, North Carolina, she currently resides in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina with her husband, Robert, sons Alex and Nathan, and two spoiled cats.

About the Host:

Linda Hunt Is an Award-Winning Accessibility Consultant, Speaker, and Author. She is the CEO of Accessibility Solutions and an Advocate for all things related to accessibility. 

Linda is the Treasurer of Citizens with Disabilities – Ontario a member of the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Professional Network and a Certified Community Champion on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol.  

Linda first became a person with a disability in 2004 since then she has been an active and engaging speaker to groups on a variety of accessibility topics. 

In addition, Linda is a business owner. Along with her husband Greg they have operated Grelin Apparel Graphics for over 30 years.
