Welcome to the beginning of our coverage of the ALIEN film franchise! This is Ridley Scott's 1979 classic, Alien, the one that started it all! This might possibly be our first contender for the GOAT movie franchise. This movie spawned so much: a prequel franchise, books, comics, video games, toys, you name it! This series is a beast....a STAR BEAST! ::wink::

Here is the official synopsis of this classic film:

"Truckers in space are ordered to check a distress signal on a desolate planet. Unfazed by the idea of otherworldly life on another planet, they inadvertently take in an alien species onto their ship. They learn this when it bursts out of their buddies gut. It starts small but grows bigger...much bigger. Plus, its head looks like a dong, so there's that."
