Two men metal detecting at New York’s Great Sacandaga Lake found a Red Creek High School class of 1988 ring and, after contacting the school, returned it to its owner Kim, who lost it 28 years earlier. A Swiss man, Robin, set a Guinness World Record in blobbing by being launched 92.58 feet above water. A brewery construction site in Belgium revealed a hoard of 40 gold bars and over 4,000 gold sovereigns worth about $10 million, now secured as investigators determine ownership. A injured whitethroat songbird is recovering with tiny casts and may be released.
